August POTMs

Tatis is a lock for #1 POTM August
-
I've got 21/24 Topps cards already hoping the Lightning is either Tatis or Mookie. Really want to see Bauer with a high 90 as well.
-
Love me some Soto

Everyone seems to be in agreement that Tatis will be the lightning card, who else does everyone think will be in there? There are usually 5 total right? I’m guessing Charlie Blackmon and Kyle Lewis will be two of them. And I assume there will be a pitcher or two, maybe Bauer or Hendriks or Bieber?
How bout Harper and his league leading ops, or max fried and his National league leading win, war, and era. And Kyle Hendricks has gotten lit up in several starts since his fluke opening day shutout.

Every has to remember that POTM are for guys playing way above what there stats would say so guys like Harper would be out because he has done this before.
Tatis while good is playing at a level we have never see same with Lowe these guys are playing way above what any projected them to be at.
For me its
Tatis
Lowe
Hernandez
Hendricks
Trevor B -
Some guys will get topps now before the POTM is announced so it is hard to say who the other cards will be but I'm very certain the lightning is Tatis
-
Mookie??????

It's been said, but Brandon Lowe has to be the second highest card. SDS rarely does this, but his defense needs a boost as well. He's playing great defense at 2b and solid D in left or right field. His vision should be much higher in a juiced card too because he isn't striking out as much now like he was last year. First couple weeks he was, but since he got rolling, his plate discipline has been much better!
I think Staumont gets the #2 card. Lowe or Yastremski get the #1.
Yaz won’t be a POTM guy at all. They wouldn’t make you collect the Yaz Topps now to get a POTM version
-
Anthony Santander has been legit for my Os. I think he's ties for league lead in extra base hits plus he's got an 18 game hitting streak. He's only a silver so he's primed for a special one time diamond card.

I can’t see Lowe being higher than Lewis. Lewis’ average is 50 points higher and he’s leading MLB in OBP. He’s also been a stud on defense.

Liam Hendriks not Kyle Hendricks. Kyle already has a topps now card anyway.

Jose Abreu might sneak in

Trevor BHarper hasn’t played at the level he is currently at since his mvp season in 2015. Not even close. In fact a couple years there he wasn’t even playing replacement level defense. And his offense was barely replacement level. So his resurgence is definitely noteworthy (probably not going to be POTM because of boss status this month) As far as Hendricks is concerned you’re making a case for a pitcher with a 3.55 ERA and one quality start. He has gotten shelled in at least two appearances and has pitched average at best in the other starts apart from his opening day fluke shutout. You don’t even mention the one pitcher no one is talking about who is having the best season of any NL pitcher in Max Fried. Look at his stats and tell me he doesn’t deserve to be in the POTM conversation. Just making an observation.

Harper is currently a boss with a 99 card. He’s not going to be a POTM. Also people are talking about Liam Hendriks The closer not Kyle the starter.

Trevor BOh and Tatis is not playing above his projections, he is playing as he was projected to play being a top 5 five tool prospect, just like Ronald acuna jr playing to nearly 40-40 stats last year that surprised no one because he was expected to produce at that level being a #1 prospect. Now Lowe, you make a good case for, definitely came out of no where.

Oh ok that makes far more sense

So there’s 21 Topps Now right now and the last tier of the collection is 24. I wonder if that’s all there will be or if they will add another tier at the top for the Lightning guy?
-
the schedule says there are more topps nows coming out Friday right?
