Is the 99 Babe Ruth really worth it?
-
Would you only play him at 1B too? Thanks for replies.

Grind is 11 hours, I got it done in the first week. First game, 2 homers from Ruth in ranked. Completely worth it with Hoffman, and Seaver along the way AND packs. The grind is easy for sure, just takes time
-
end game first base for sure but that's really the last position you need to cover, so no need to rush it

I just have to beat the all time team. I am a garbage player so it has taken me like twice as long as a normal person. If anyone has tips on beating the all time team it would be appreciated. Ryne Sandberg all of a sudden learned how to hit home runs when I pitch to him.

100% worth the time. He’s a monster

Free Beast, good reliever and soild starter, ummm obviously worth it.

I pulled aroldis on the way from the dotp pack at 85 points. Very good haul overall
-
Thank you. I have 33 innings left to finish

Speed and Contact hitters patients, Take two strikes and swing with contact O. I pitched with Orel. I won either 1-0 or 2-1, Low sinkers inside, cutter away to Righties, with two strikes I throw the Curve out of the zone or just on the edges, With lefties keep the ball low outside with sinkers and offspeed pitches, cutter inside on the hands, Aim the curve ball at the catchers foot on the inside. I walked a few hitters better to walk them than give in.

The rewards on the way are worth it along with stars to earn.

The XP especially, I've jumped quite a few levels during the grind. I took a short break from the program, hoping to finish it tonight. At 89/100, NL and MLB games left.
The 9 inning game is the one that worries me, not sure what that lineup is gonna look like for the MLB team.

Yes he is... He may end up on you're bench but he'll be on you're squad. If you have Stan or Frank it's just a matter of who you hit better with really. I'm starting Stan to prestige and have Ruth coming off the bench. Ruth's been great in that spot for me. I can't see any scenario where babe gets bumped from my team.

The Babe is worth it. I don’t even think frank will be able to replace him. I literally have no need for any of the 7th inning bosses ️

Just the all time team to go, you're close man, stick with it. A few things helped me through this once I figured out kind of how to play against the CPU. I pretty much only play RS and have never really did any of these programs or anything but I really wanted the rewards in this one so I decided to give it a shot. From an offensive standpoint, definitely be patient at the plate. Hitting against the CPU is way different from hitting against a human in RS. The CPU will walk its share of batters if you can be patient. In fact, they'll probably even hit a few of your batters throughout the game if you see enough pitches. In RS against a good player most pitches are just on the corner of the strike zone, or just off the corners. The CPU will throw pitches 5 feet off the plate and then throw something right down the middle. You have to be patient, take your walks, and wait for that pitch that's right there that you can drive and do damage on. From a pitching standpoint, it took me a little bit to figure out how to pitch to the CPU. What I found out worked the best for me, and it took some of the thinking out of it which helped me get through these a little quicker, was to follow the pitch recommendation from my catcher. You can hold down L2, I think it was, and the catcher will recommend a pitch and location. The easiest thing for me was to turn on pitch recommendations in the settings so it automatically comes up before every pitch and you don't even have to do anything. I found that if you just throw whatever the catcher calls for it typically works most of the time no matter how ridiculous I thought it might be. I lost a few games early on while I was trying to finish this against the individual teams on all star. Once I kind of figured out how to go about these games though I breezed through them. I thought the HOF games would be difficult but I ended up not loosing one game on HOF and beat the all time team 5-0.

Yep, I prefer these type of grinds with YOUR team as opposed to bs moments and showdowns. Pick your poison

Most definitely worth it. I have him in LF as I have 99 Ortiz at 1st. Ortiz first game back at 1st 3-4 2 HR 3 RBI. Not taking that out of my line up
-
Thames is just as good as babe, he’s end game first baseman
