I was a catcher back in my playing days so I always like to see backstops get a Topps Now or be a boss or headliner or whatever. And I’m still going to take him as one of my 3 picks due to some sort of very misguided loyalty. But he’s got the 2nd worst swing for a diamond Mets catcher, and that’s saying a lot.
I picked him as well!! Because he was going for the most out of the 4 left to choose from lol...
Probably because everyone hates his swing, so very few people are taking him which will lead to a relative scarcity of that card.
His no doubt flip is something special...problem is that he will rarely hit one lol

Great. Look so forward to doing that one once my Madden 21 trial downloads. I have the last 3 weeks to grind through plus the Lester 7th inning program.
-
Use directional and power swing. Took me 3 tries but every game he hit at least 1 HR and the last game he was 2-2 with 2 no doubters.
-
It’s like, maybe you need a lighter bat there, bro.

The rest of the moments were super easy (even the Bo 7/7/7 was a breeze), but the deck is definitely stacked against you on this one. He’s super slow, and the Nats have two fast outfielders with very good arms (sorry Soto), so getting a non-HR XBH is a pain. Also, he hits 7th in the lineup, and the Mets are the home team, so I had a couple tries when I only got 3 ABs. And his swing just doesn’t seem to generate any power. Hopefully you knock it out quick and easy, dude!

Yep, all were really easy but that one. Took a little less than an hour in total. Bo took me 3 games

Took me 1 try and I cannot hit... Being a Mets fan helped but he hit 2 homers in 3 at bats for me
I thought I would struggle on this one

Agreed with OP. I breezed through the other moments and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to do this one and I still can’t beat it. The combination of nationals pitchers being completely unwilling to throw a strike, his snail like speed, and his odd lack of power for a guy with 94 power is making this one of my most hated moments ever.
-
I hit a ground rule double that was scored E-8. That would have finished the moment for me. Took me 10 more tries after that. I'm hoping for a POTM Lightning Tatis, so this will be worth it.

I have to second the dude who said to use directional + power swing. Once I switched to that, I finished it on my second try — and it was with 2 monster HRs on my first 2 ABs. I could barely reach the warning track before, but the ball flies off his bat with power/directional.

He can't be any slower then the catching speedster himself Yasmani Grandal and his 7 speed. His POTM moments were brutal. I can't remember how many times I had to try his but it was a bunch.

I will third that dude. Directional + power swing is key.

Well I guess there's a first time for everything. I have only used zone hitting this year. I understand the idea, you hold the left analog stick up and hit x or to hit (preferably power). Does the direction up left or right make a difference in this other than the direction your aiming?

This card is trash. A worse version of Keith Hernandez. There had to be someone better for a moment.
I’m 15 minutes in on this BS.
-
So bad, glad I’m not alone - horrible swing
-
Update: finally a perfect/perfect....ground ball single.
Ready to punch someone in the throat

I had so many perfect grounders...can't keep talking about the computer robbing a homer!! Took me 30 minutes in total
-
The pitcher takes forever too, trash moment

Update: Austin Voth is the god awful. I’ve seen 9u kids throw more strikes

Just sit high fastball against Voth and you will be good. Rainey is the hard one to hit. Ended up hitting a perfect fly ball on a cutter low and away to finish it off tho
