How to get out & save

Started a new March To October season today (1st time, always played single games) and I have a question. How do you get out of the game and save your place ? Appreciate any help !

it auto saves.after the calendar stops and you hit x, the screen where you have to hit x to enter next game, you can safely leave mto from there without messing up your progress.

In-game menu: if you exit the game it will automatically save your place in that game, eg if you exit in top of 7th with one out, next time you go back into your March and play game it will resume from top of 7th with one out.
This is the way to do it, never just close the app (unless you don’t care about losing the rewards) as it will be a strike against your March.
