That hurts big time losing to Otoxi. Game is inconsistent as hell and it’s hof 3 innings. This is not a competitive environment. The best players don’t win this thing.

Plus he's a good player Kyle put him in honorable mentions for top 10 players in MLB The Show currently in a January tweet, so it's not entirely out of left field. A bit pretentious for sure, but nothing to get bent out of shape about.

Its the "athlete" part that is laughable. Fix that to "professional esports player" or anything thing else that is inline with sitting in a chair and pushing buttons on a gamepad. Bowlers are 10 times the "athletes".

That's interesting lol. I don't think there are any "professional" MLBTS players at this point, because the definition of doing something "professionally" means that you can make a living by doing that. MLBTS is nowhere near a decent competitive environment - and besides, the winner of this tourney nets what, $4K? Lol.
It's not like MLBTS players have the ability to make several hundred thousands of dollars throughout the year by playing competitively, like in other games (excluding side income from YouTube/Twitch).

Well, there are a few guys that make their living strictly playing MLB the show - but they don't earn their living from competing in MLB the show but from making videos on Youtube and streaming on Twitch.

Losing in the money round definitely hurt. Lol but I agree with Mitch. The entire finals should have been 9 innings and legend. It would have changed everything.

Haha that's easy man. They didn't learn from their mistakes from the last tourney, they did this short notice, they don't understand a competitive tourney setting isn't 3 inn on HOF, they don't understand the flaws in there outdated platform/system, etc, etc, etc..
