Where do you put Sheffield?
-
Title says it all. The fielding is just so concerning but it doesn’t make sense to not have him in 9/10 lineups (baring the super teams)
-
3rd? Even then there’s a good amount of 3B options. I’m content with my lineup but once I unlock Babe and presumably Harper/Thomas are revealed as bosses I won’t know where to put him
-
Third base, I feel like that is the only spot for him if you have Mantle/Trout
-
Hide him at 3rd
-
The bench, he pinch hits. I have Sandoval/Jones at 3rd and my outfield is stacked with Trout, Mantle, and Walker
-
3rd base....He is great going to his right (towards the foul line) but not the best going to the left. This can be mitigated with a SS with speed/range like Rollins.
He has the arm strength to charge bunts/weakly hit balls and throw out the fastest of runners as well. -
I have him in left field until I get trout on Friday. Then I’ll have him on the bench
-
I have him on the bench and he is one of my better pinch hitters. I have 99 Eddie Mathews at 3B and his bat won't come out of the lineup. I just got Ruth last night so he goes to 1B and Belli goes to LF. I have Mantle in Center and Walker in Right. Kinda tough making out a lineup with all the great hitters to choose from. We are still waiting on Mays to so where does he go? LOL
-
With Mantle, Walker and Trout, 3B is only option
-
Not in my lineup because I don’t like his swing
-
3B. One of my best and most consistent hitters.
-
Start him at 3B then use a defensive replacement after last at bat in later innings..
Also shift infield slightly left to move him closer to the line and minimize errors.. as well as giving your SS more range to make the tough plays
-
When I use that card he's either at 3rd or a bench bat.

This. His bat was too good to take out of my lineup, but I needed to have Mantle, Trout and Walker out there.

I never thought about shifting him a bit in the field to cover the line. Ripken plays short for me and has good enough range and arm to cover the hole. Good thinking
-
He hasn't been a problem playing 3rd for me. Makes the plays at a much higher clip than his stats suggest. He might knock the ball down a bit but with that arm strength he throws lasers across the diamond to compensate for fumbling the ball. Arm strength does not get a secondary position stat penalty.

He's not even on my bench anymore

Now that I have trout w mantle and babe , 3b is only option
