Weird Event Matching

So I played my first game in the current event yesterday. I played 7 and all 7 was matched against people that were Prestige level (and fairly high level at that). Just seemed odd as that has not happened to me in any previous evens. Is it because of the line up restrictions, that is, people that don't have jacked squads are "scared" to play? If that's the case, I'll tell you guys, just because someone is at that level and has a 99 team, doesn't mean they are actually any good. I am a very casual player, basically played a half gold line up and went 6-1.

I believe event game match ups are completely random.

Not weird. RS is based off your rating online, not what XP level you are at in the game in general.

So I guess a lot of prestige people delayed in playing then? That just seems odd as obviously they play a lot.
That totally makes sense when I was 5-0, but before I guess it was just a small sample size, luck of the draw.

If you see me at Presige level 34, you should not be scared. At all.

I had to play YeYo today and have my son watch me get my assed kicked (8-2) on Twitch. Pretty happy I scored 2....

Why does prestige level matchmade scare people? It doesn't guarantee a good or bad player. You know what sometimes scares me: seeing the opponent with the goat bat. Even that is no guarantee of a good player because theoretically u can get it without br 12-0 or world series

XP is more about competition of programs and collections, has nothing to do with how good a player is or even how much they have played. In fact people who play a lot of online H2H do not accumulate as much XP as people who plays tons of offline stuff like Showdown

I'm prestige 35 or 36. I am not good. My team is literally names "I'm not good at this." XP Level =/= skill level.

What scares me now is Babe Ruth in their lineup and Trout sometimes too.

I've been playing this game for years and just started doing events the past couple of weeks. It seems like I'm always matched against guys that are prestige/ world series banner and or goat banner. It would be nice to play against some average joes like myself but I do find playing against these good players makes for good practice and observing how they play has helped me improve my game.

Lol. I played someone with twitch.tv in their team name too but he never heard of them.

My thinking for this is that not many subpar players are playing the event. The better players have already completed the Ruth grind so they’re back on events. The other players are still working on Ruth so they’re playing offline. That’s my thinking at least

Lol. I played someone with twitch.tv in their team name too but he never heard of them.
It was pretty cool to see me play on the computer as I had line of sight to both. There was like a 10sec lag so I warned my son when I was about to get crushed with "another" HR:)

lol @ "the better players completed the Ruth grind" Bro, the grind is against bots...Everyone who has time invested in this game will eventually get him...Don't be spooked by that (not you personally, in general)
