I'm in the same exact scenario and while I've only been grinding Ruth, I've yet to do anything with Hornsby giving him reps at 2B.
hes not great, Robert however, beast mode.
Dude living my Robert
Me too man. I took Hornsby with my lucky pack, wasn't a huge fan (And I'm tired of seeing his name from 19). Sold him to try out Robert, Robert won't leave the team this year.

I have both. Was only two HRD guys away in order to get that part of the Trout collection. I started out hot with Hornsby, but his range has become a little bit of problem on occasion. Love the bat, but is Cano the better play out there in reality?
I already have Jackie and Biggio, but I've recently moved Jackie to 3B and Biggio on the bench (can't trust Biggio at C and have Wieters who provides better D there).
Suggestions or opinions are very much welcome and needed. I can't hit for [censored] recently. Was in Championship series and this last week was so bad, I'm back to AS.

Hornsby has a great bat. I fell like Canos is even better - even better swing. Next factor in that Cano plays a pretty good 2B, while Hornsby struggles to make routine plays.

Any other opinions??
Better hitter is hornsby, fielding really isn't that far apart. Hornsby also has the better swing. If you have the stubs then definately him unless you play on all star then it really doesn't matter as both mash there.

Cano is one of my best hitters and can go yard at any time while having gold defense at second. He’s not gonna leave my lineup. But I really wanna try Hornsby our, I loved him last year

Same. Had him last year and loved that card and this year's Hornsby. I will say though, that I hold my breath at times when the ball heads towards Hornsby.

Depends if you need lefties or righties and if you play mostly on All star or hof+. Hornsby is end game if you play hof/legend.

Unlike most people in this thread, my vote is going to Hornsby and it's not close either.

Hornsby 4 games 6 homers

Got lucky (I guess) and pulled the 99 beach-ball. Took Hornsby. Used him in a couple RS. He's alight I guess. Couple clutch hits in close games.

Furthest I can get is the Championship series and after last week, back in AS purgatory. Kinda getting burned out from RS after that week. It's a [censored] mess if I'm being honest. F
Full disclosure, I'm far from elite - but two weeks ago I was at least winning consistently. Now, I'm luck if I can win 2 out 5 games. At this point it may make more sense to sell Hornsby since HoF seems like a pipe dream.

He has 1st as a secondary. Maybe even third but I can’t remember.

Hornsby. Mash city.

Cano has reverse splits. Hornsby is actually the more balanced player. Also, Hornsby has 125 vision against righties and lefties. He is 19 points faster than Cano and there is only about 20k difference between Hornsby and Cano right now.

I hit .265 with Cano in 84 online PA. Hitting .326 with Hornsby through 48 PA. 40/48 of those at bats were against righties.
