-Pitch Maddux
-Be patient at the plate. I found in the HOF games, they pitched the same batters similarly each AB. Others may not have had that experience, but I did.
-Another caveat of the above statement... Put one of your really good hitters in the 8 spot, or in front of your pitcher in the HOF games. I found the cpu really likes to attack your 8 hole, especially with 2 outs, so they can lead off with your pitcher for the next inning.
-Have speed on the bench. You don't want your go-ahead run on 1st or 2nd and not have anyone speedy to sub in for them.
