TA 4 cards if they Aren’t finest

Griffey might be the only thing that pushes Walker to my bench. A 99 Griffey is going to be unstoppable this year.

Back in 17 Griffey and Schmidt each got 2 99s. Griffey also is a different case then anyone else. They wouldn’t just release 2 griffeys that have poor contact, fielding and speed and not give him a 99
That sounds dumb man. Should we expect 99s of Boggs, Molina, Mattingly, Brock etc? I'm genuinely curious, I only played 18 (and didnt start until late August) so we had the immortals representing the top cards.

There are alot of yet to be released legends, and not a lot of ways to release them. I put together a list of who I think it could be if they aren’t the common theory of finest cards. Some teams won’t have legends, but flashbacks instead, because the Royals and Rays quite literally don’t have any other legends it could be
Orioles- 99 Eddie Murray, Brooks, or Ripken. Could be any one of them
Red Sox- Ted Williams or Jimmie Foxx
Yankees- I don’t think Babe will be released here, but a Silver Slugger Posada is a real possibility
Blue Jays-Alomar
Rays-Has to be Longorio or Price because there are 0 legend options
White Sox- Frank Thomas
Tigers- Ty Cobb or Miggy
Indians- Is Doby still in the game?
Royals- Wade Davis? Gordon or Hosmer wouldn’t be rated high enough. This very team is the reason I think finest is likely
Twins- Walter Johnson
Angels- Nolan Ryan
Rangers- Pudge
Mariners- Griffey and Edgar are the only choices
A’s-Lefty Grove, could also get Foxx
Mets-Seaver
Marlins- Cliff Floyd I guess?
Braves- Andrew Jones, or Chipper
Nationals- MVP Harper?
Phillies- They always get shafted so Robin Roberts is a real possibility
Cardinals-Bib Gibson
Reds-Bench or Morgan
Pirates- Honus or Kiner
Brewers- Braun I guess. They don’t really have anyone
Cubs- Likely Billy Williams or Fergie
Dodgers-Kershaw or Snider
Rockies-Helton 100%
Diamondbacks- Goldschmidt
Giants- Bumgarner or Cepeda. Don’t see Mays here
Padres- No idea. Could they juice Benito this much from last year? While Finest is most likely because of several teams just not having anyone, I thought it would be fun to predict some if they weren’t finest
Brewers Molitor? Marlins pudge? Edmonds?

No way we see multiple 99s now. Signature series, Awards, Prime, or FOTF(in the legends case) are their top cards. Griffey is the only exception. In 17 the current 95 Griffey was a 99 under the different rating scale

Molitor already has his best card. Pudge will be a rangers card. Edmonds will be with the Cardinals

Let’s put it this way. The only guys that have a 95+ already that will get another card are Griffey, Mathewson, and Cy Young

I forgot about Ripken Tbh. I don’t count chipper as a 95+ because I see prestige as an extension of the original card

Each round of TA's they've had a consistent theme across all teams (future stars, FOTF). I doubt it will be Finest cards because I think TA4 will release before the end of the regular season, just a hunch. I'm thinking they're just gonna be all sig series cards for franchise favorites across the board. TA3 were all retired players. Sig series would allow TA4 to be any combination of active or retired players.

While I somewhat agree, they couldn’t all be sig series. The Rays ONLY option is Longoria and sig series cards that have been in both 19 and 20(carew, sale, Boggs) have been exact copies, so a Longoria sig series would be 96 overall. I think all of the stage 4 cards will be 99s.
Edit: David Price too obviously but the same logic still applies -

He could. That season was incredible. I just don’t think they will double up on a player from stage 1 as the stage 4

That is true. Zobrist? I wonder if they lost the rights to Huff even the card is not a 99. They could do all Sig and not be 99.

Edit: David Price too obviously but the same logic still appliesMaybe a sig series Zobrist for the Rays? I can't remember if he had a SS card last year. Or maybe staying with their consistent theme for each round they could do something like franchise award winners and have an awards series card for each team. I'm betting they could come up with a high diamond awards card for at least one player for each franchise. That may even solve the mystery of who they'd release for the Royals, as I could see a 2011 or 2012 Alex Gordon awards card getting juiced to maaaaybe a 97.

They will be Finest... not another set of Legends... There is no bigger legend than Mr. Padre Tony Gwynn for San Diego...
Same with Brett for the Royals or Yount for the Brewers... -

Same with Brett for the Royals or Yount for the Brewers...And I would agree with you if there wasn’t more cards to release than ways to release them. They usually stop content around december/January. You got to think there are 8 more RS rewards, 8 more BR rewards, 8-10 more events rewards, Roughly 30-40 more headliners, at least 8 or 10 of which will be future stars probably, possible updates to the Ducks on the pond, 3 or 4 more inning programs in which Griffey, Ted, Pujols, Bench, Seaver, Gehrig, Gibson, and Piazza will not be a part of since they were last year, and possible sig team moments/showdown extreme. They could very easily have a finest pack like in the past. There are too many legends and flashbacks to release with such limited ways to release them
