I really wish there was a more variety of was to make program stars for these programs. Especially for player who don't spend their lives playing ther people online. For the casual online player I wish there were more player programs where you earn cards. Dont get me wrong this is a fun mode but online gameplay is complete trash. I really liked how they deid player programs in 17 that was my favorite. I'm not that good where I can play someone online and reel of 5-6 wins in RS or Events. Dont even get me started on the the only real way way to get stat missions with players is to play online. Yes I know that there is conquest but I hate conquest . Showdown you spend stubs that I try to save to buy off the market I wish they cared a little more about the casual online player.

I barely and I mean barely play online and i've gotten 300 or more every inning so far with 0 vouchers used. I grind MTO for TA because I'm not that great with showdowns. I'd rather spend my time knowing I get guaranteed progress towards TA instead of the chance of it if everything breaks your way. There's tons of ways to earn stars but you do have to play the game.

I play the game, I'm not grinding for TA I get bored with MTO. I do the daily missions and the few moments we get with the programs. Also well as do the online stuff.

Program stars are linked to XP, if you play offline you’ll still earn stars. It’s super easy to get to 300 stars every inning this year. The extra rewards are whatever and are for people who spend more time grinding past 300. I don’t see the problem here.

I've been an offline only player since MLB the Show 17. Never had any issues getting to 300. I've never considered myself to be very good at all, and the few times I got onto play Ranked Seasons, I always ran into people who paused all of the time trying to get me to quit, bunt dancers and laggyness. On top of that, I was very impatient and swung at almost everything. : )

This past week, when we found out we had to get Prestige Cards, I was advised by a few fellow posters here, to try the current Event for a better online experience. I must say, they were right. I have a pretty good team, and have become much more patient with taking pitches (which is the key to playing online I think). I've actually went 8-7 in my first 15 games that I was expecting to just be grinding pitcher innings and k's. And it's been a lot of fun, with only one "pauser" as I call them, who try to get you to quit. it's also free, so no risk. Glad I took a chance....while I still enjoy the offline grind, i'll be playing online more often now.
