It’s gonna be Ruth and I’m going to be pretty disappointed. Really wish they’d step up and bring in a new legend for the main reward.
I do too, but Bonds, Arod, and Aaron/Clemente are the only players that remotely compare to Honus last year, in the game or new legends. None of thise seem like midseason drops to me. No matter who it is, it will be disappointing to someone because no one compares to a 5 tool shortstop with that positional flexibility. Babe, Ted, Sosa, Mcgwire, and Frank are bad defensively/slow/can be easily replaced. Mays would be worth it but there is 0 chance they make him a collection reward 2 years in a row. Only current legend in the game remotely worth it besides Mays is Foxx with a C secondary IMO. I will do the collection regardless
If they’re following the Wagner model of last year which is dropping an all around card those 3 you outlined (Aaron/Arod/Bonds) would be ideal as they all where 5 tool superstars and you can justify giving them 90+ on everything. I just don’t want to be stuck with a Babe Ruth that can mash but can’t play a single position adequately. I think they did a good job with Honus last year but this year if it’s not a new legend it’s probably going to be disappointing.
I wouldn't say Aaron was a 4 tool player as he didn't really run that much in his 23 year career there is only 9 seasons where he had 15+ SB the rest where below 10. Same can be said of Arod as he has a career .250 average.
Mantle averaged 8 steals a year in his career and they gave him 90+ speed. I’m sure they wouldn’t have an issue giving arod or Aaron who actually stole 30+ bases in season above 90 speed.
Mantle was actually one of the fastest guys in the league he just destoryed his knee when he tripped over a drain pipe because he was giving Dimaggio the ball to field. He played the rest of his Career with a torn ACL. Dimaggio went to war and was a baseball instructor.
I never saw him play so I can’t speak on his speed specially but if we’re basing this off stats he didn’t steal bases in the beginning of his career either. A-rod had a 40 SB season and Aaron had a 30 SB season. Off stats I can definitely see both of those guys having above 90 speed. Especially if they’re the collection reward
Its because Mantle tore his ACL his rookie season in 51. It was actually in the world season and Willie Mays had hit the ball. If DiMaggio wouldn't have been such an asshole Mickey probably would have been a 400 +SB
DiMaggio was a fine wine and Mickey was a half empty warm natty light. Just look at their women.
DiMaggio was a [censored] he insisted on being introduced as the greatest living player. And also punch Billy Crystal for not doing so. Dimaggio was good player but greatest living player while Ted Willaims who was still alive at the time of Dimaggio's death. Dimaggio robbed everyone. From Williams witht he MVPs, Mantle for altering his career to the US for enlisting and then being a PE instructor where Willaims and Feller both saw combat.

If it’s Babe Ruth, as long as the requirements aren’t too nuts, I’d be cool with it. Make him a sig too and make him a viable option to pitch and hit.
And for love of god, give him 1B secondary. He’d never leave my lineup.

This is a good guess. Topps is pushing his “Topps now” cards and autos at the moment. Would make sense to generate interest in him with younger fans here and would be easier to get him onboard. Could absolutely be Jeter.

I've been saying the home run chase with Sosa, McGwire and bonds / stocker for 2 weeks. I don't know if you watch YouTube but go to gomesdalegend and he has some great reasons on why he thinks it is stocker. It all makes sense and I'm even more confident now.

Gomes is my go to Youtuber! He does have great reasons and makes me think there is a 50% chance. If it is Stocker with juiced stats then maybe I’ll do it

I really don't see me lacking in all them stubs for babe Ruth unless they give him Diamond Fielding or something outrageous which wouldn't even be realistic. the thing about stocker is it is a real card just with a fake name. It looks like bonds and has all his stats so I can deal with that over a Pepe alazar or these future stars 99

Well, that settles it. If Gomes is saying it's Stocker, then it's a 100% guarantee that it's not. I've never seen a video from him that's accurately titled.
"Everything we Know about XXX" ALWAYS devolves into a speculation video with no actual confirmations.
