I feel like if it's McGwire the collection is not worth it. There need to be multiple players - Babe, Maris, Sosa, McGwire, Bonds.

I don't think we see the McGuire/Sosa this season. If they have their rights they market them for next season.

If it’s McGwire, or Randy Johnson, I’m killing myself. I’ve barely played, flipped or collected cards this year and I’ve hardly completed any programs, nor do I have time to do so.
Imagine if they make it a sellable card though, like TA3. Lock in 600k worth of cards for a sellable card. Do you keep or market it at 1m stubs?

Could it be a pitcher and a hitter? There’s actually two silhouettes on the legend flashback tab so maybe Koufax, Gibson? Or some names along those lines. Won’t be a marketable name, but I’d be happy to be wrong about that.

Im hyped if it’s McGwire. I have a few collections full and over 500k in stubs waiting. McGwire might be one of the few cards I’d lock in for. The more I think about it (depending on requirement cost) I’m not sure I’d do it for Babe. I’m not sure I’d do it for any card I’ve used in the past except, maybe, Griffey. And do you lock in for 99 Griffey when you could get the HRD or postseason ones so much cheaper? Should be interesting to see.

Honestly, I’m tired of the speculation. I wish Tuesday would just get here already.

Literally losing sleep over this, watching and working the market and trying to make sure I’m flush.

Signature Babe Ruth that has crazy pitching and hitting stats. 2 way monster. The signature cards represent a players entire career and ruth was both and can be represented with a two way signature player. The fact they released mckay as a two way headliner shows they are willing to give guys good two way stats.
    Also fits the LHP silhouette

Where did you see a LHP Silhouette?

If it’s not Hank Aaron or Clemente or a player like that, I’ll be disappointed. I want Randy Johnson, but a pitcher should absolutely not be the big collection reward.

It’s gonna be 99 Babe Ruth two way player who can play as a pitcher or position player with max out hitting stats and pretty good pitching stuff . His a pitcher who can hit or can be slotted as a position player before games in the outfield or 1st base .

Julio Franco? He wore #28 for the Braves in 2001, and he had a BIG leg kick.

They Won’t make it sellable. To collect all the cards you will need well over a mil and thats the maximum you can buy a card for on the marker

Ruth makes no sense with the chase clue. He took over the HR title at 139 and everyone was chasing him.

I don't think it can be randy johnson because the dbacks stadium wasn't called chase field when he pitched there, and he would be marketed before the game came out as well.

Exactly why the chase clue makes sense for Ruth though. The chase was to catch Ruth, as would be the goal of the collection.

    Meh.

McGwire is too one dimensional for this kind of collection reward. Outside of power, what else does he have to offer? Ruth would have more, or at the very least equal power, but Ruth would have max contact, vision, etc. And his speed, defense, etc. would be better than Mac’s too.

Big Mac would have been a perfect home run derby kind of collection reward because it was solely about power. He won the ‘92 derby and that collection would’ve been more suited to be his release.

Not Randy Johnson. He would have been a selling point at the release of this game. Think some of you read way to much into these things. "The chase" means chase field= randy Johnson? Lol. Come on now
