Man I just love when my pitches are forced to go over the middle of the plate. Also can’t get enough of the good/good swings with exit velos lower than the pitch speed. Yes, give me some more randomizes outcomes please, and yes, please continue to make user input not matter...exactly what the community wants.
I keep taking breaks from this game thinking I’ll feel refreshed coming back, nope. Ranked seasons is a joke, no control over pitches, and the most inconsistent hitting from game to game. Yet again we’re served up a game that plays absolutely terribly and yet again, we’re given great content in hopes that the flawed gameplay is overlooked.
No thank you to this dice roll of a game. Love when I get hits with my pitcher where my pci is barely grazing the ball, and then I can square up multiple pitches with great players for out after out. [censored] this game

What it comes down to is the experience just isn’t what I want it to be. I was playing a game in ranked today with Felix Hernandez and everything was going fine, but in like the third inning, I could no longer throw a strike. At one point, I pressed pause to see what his control stats were because I was in disbelief. He had like 92 control. So what happened? Mechanically, did I start messing up? Maybe. Did something happen with my internet connection that made me think I was getting good input when I really wasn’t? Maybe. Does every pitch have a small amount of RNG, and I just randomly got a ridiculously long chain of unlucky dice rolls? Who knows. But that’s the issue. I can really only control what I can control. And it’s frustrating to think that some of the problems are out of my hands.
I think all players experience this kind of stuff, but some of the more skilled players can overcome a lot of the unlucky RNG that I can’t. They too are not always rewarded for good pci placement and pitch location and timing. But they do those things more consistently, and therefore, have a greater chance to be rewarded. And that’s fine. That’s how it should be. The problem is when a game is skewed against me, I can overcome some but not a lot. So I can either keep playing knowing that sometimes the game will give me the advantage and sometimes it won’t. And when I am disadvantaged, I probably won’t come out on top. Or I could stop playing. But the game is definitely not going in the direction of making things less random.
