The chase clue to me means someone to pair with Mantle. 1961 Roger Maris. Chased the Babes record with Mantle. A nice bookend. 125 125 power, SDS will make up the other stats to rationalize the card.

Roger Maris is a fantastic suggestion.

If it is a new legend, wasn’t Bonds’s swing rumored to be in the game? If it is Bonds everyone will go crazy
Like Jeter I don't see this happening. Way to much of a marketable player to sell copies.
I’m not sure Bonds is or was ever that marketable.
You're... joking right?
My thoughts too. His historic home run season alone was crazy times.
Dude was an animal. Imagine if he was on roids AND played for the Astros in 2017. 95 HR season right there.
At least. He might have been the first 500 average and 100 homer season lol

On second thought, make this a league wide thing. Steroids mandatory and every player knows what pitch is coming. Bring the outfield in 100 feet at every ball park.
I just saved beisbol.

They dropped a small fortune to pay Barry Bonds!!!
I would contact Sony customer support and have them remove the game from my library.
but thankfully I don't ever have to worry about that ,cause Bonds didn't want to be in games when he played, the way he continues to avoid media and such tells me that hasn't changed -
Ted Williams it is. There is a lot of talk about this season may produce a 400 hitter. The short season and rusty pitchers are a ripe environment for someone to get hot and hit 400. Chase for 400

The answer is clearly Rick the Wild Thing Vaughn due to actor Charlie Sheen staring in a movie called The Chase.

Babe makes the most sense to me. With how popular Jeter is there is no way they would wait this long to reveal him and I have a theory that he will be on the cover when he comes to this game. Mays could work but I don’t think they make him a collection reward again after being the LS collection last year. Honus is again possible. If it is a new legend I see it being Clemente more than anyone
It will be Ruth.

It would never be. But no card would ever make me go nuts more than a Sig Bonds...
Imagine, roids Bonds 2001-2004 hitting with skinny Bonds fielding and speed.
Basically a maxed out card. Nothing beats that. Plus his stance was so intimidating... And swing one of the greatest ever. His homerun bat flip and swag too -

Maris would go good with Mantle
Maris had 2 great seasons.. that's it. And even those 2 great seasons (MVP both times) Mantle was better
-
In no world would it ever be jeter. He is a name you use at release and make a cover athlete to get people to buy the game

But I want to have a catch with Chase Utley.
Great show.
I love his hair.

Yup nailed it.
In all honesty though, his contact would be maxed out too. At least vs RHP. Dude was smashing .370 AVGs, with .600 OBP!!! Haha. 60% on base. God on roids...
His arm was the only thing you could say wasn't elite. Everything else was at some point in his career "ultra elite or the greatest ever". -

Marketable players are well liked. Not saying anything about his ability, but the personality and cheating would make any company think twice about plastering his face everywhere with their product. I’d personally love for him to be in the game, and he may be, I just wouldn’t ever describe Bonds as marketable.

A collection with Maris, Sosa, McGwire, and Bonds would be amazing.

Oh I absolutely would describe him as marketable. As would Sosa and McGuire.

Sammy and Mark were well liked. Bonds was hated by a lot of fans, writers, opponents, and teammates. Bonds was booed so much during his 73 HR year. Sosa and McGwire were celebrated.

Ya, Bonds was easily the most hated player possibly in the history of the game. He was absolutely miserable, and not just after '98.. even his pirate days, he was absolutely abysmal to be around and a nightmare in the clubhouse and to reporters..
But man could he hit...
