Is this card absolutely awful at the plate for anyone else? He’s the only hitter that ever shows up in my East Showdown drafts and calling him underwhelming hardly does his mediocrity justice.

The card is fantastic in ranked seasons and events. Never judge any card from showdown or moments. Those sliders are so jacked up its ridiculous. Give him a try online, i bet you enjoy him.

I thought the same thing, but I don’t struggle consistently on veteran with any silver+ cards not named Keith Hernandez.

It's possible his swing just doesn't work for you. Everybody has cards who's swing works for them but not others. Maybe Dawson just isn't your swing. Mine happens to be Nolan arenado. I don't care what his stats are, the card is buns for me.

I only have 30 AB's with him, but so far I haven't had much luck. I've been raking with Walker/Mantle/Brock/Gwynn, there's just not room to give him a lot of time. I'll get around to it eventually I guess.

Not sure man. All i can say is if you unlock him in team affinity you might want to give him a few at bats online to see if it turns around for you. If you don't play online then i think you already got your answer.

I’m still a couple 90+ away from Mantle, but my outfield of Judge/Davis/Walker hasn’t given me many reasons to try anyone else.

I’ll give him a shot in the event if I still have the patience for showdown after getting Leiter.

I hear you sometimes it's just nice to throw someone else in there to change things up. He is definitely not better than Mickey or Walker. Davis and Dawson are similar. Dawson has a bigger PCI with a little less power while Davis has way more speed. They both have rockets for arms.

I'm right there with you. Cannot hit with this guy to save my life.

Small sample size but I've been using him in the current event and I really like him. Batting over 550 with him in 15-17 event games.
