For those of you that have been doing affinity exchanges, what do you think is a decent price for the exchange where you come out close to even considering the stubs and packs you get back? A few weeks back, I was able to do them for about 4k-5k in stubs (for the one 50k exchange) and felt that was a decent give-take with the spend, speed and the rewards you got back advancing several levels. Now, I feel like the prices haven't gotten too high.

Where do you think is a good stub count spot to settle in that you don't actually lose many stubs? 6k per 10 affinity points?

Personally, I didn't think it was a good idea to spend more than 3-4k. But you'd have to wait for the market to fall down a little. That's what I'd do.

But it also depends on how far along you are on the TAs, and what packs you're going to end up with though too. If you're going to end up opening hundreds of Ballin is a Habit and hundreds of TA packs, AND topping off the TA3s, that could work out pretty good for you.

    Whatever you do, good luck!

I know it's not cost efficient but I normally go for 82 overall golds (normally 3/4) costs about 5k. Doesn't always pay off but I pulled Yellich from Twins 6 pack yesterday and made my stubs back.

However I've heard the best method is
    5-76 Overall
    6- 77 Overall
    4- 78 Overall
    1 79 Overall

    Overall

I know that's considered the best method. But I bore of putting in that many orders when I want to advance these things along quite a bit. I had good luck in advancing things a few weeks back. I bought for probably 4-5k per 10 affinity points and advance some teams up to 7 times. Then I had good pack luck and I am sitting on 600k-plus stubs. Going back to working on them now. But the market is killing me with how these cards are higher than I was buying before. I dont want to do 100s of orders. I also don't want to spend like crazy and waste stubs even with the rewards you get along the way.

I just tried it and I can advance every team to Stage 2, and have 15 teams at Stage 3 if I spend all my 600k stubs.

I was doing them at about 5500 max, made things a lot easier when i was getting 79s for 550 a piece so i didn't have to put in thousands of buy orders,

And I did the ones where the FOTF card was selling for 40k plus, so now that i got most of those out of the way and im down to the ones selling for 20k, so with the prices going up it just doesn't seem worth it try to do the rest until the market comes back down.

I did the math a week ago and here’s what I got:

If you want to spend 3k per exchange...

95 cards at 69 ovr for less than 31
    77————-70————————38
    63————-71————————-47
    51—————72————————58
    41—————73————————73
33 cards at 74 ovr for less than 90
26 cards at 75 for less than 115
    21————-76——————-142
    17————-77——————-176
    13————-78——————-230
    11————79———————272

The most cost effecient and conceivable method is buying 262 cards at 64 ovr for 7 stubs or less. That is costing you around 2000, but you may lose your mind.

Yeah, I'd go out of my mind putting in hundreds of orders to try and advance all the teams. The amount of orders I've put in today is already stretching my sanity.

So, for the people that exchange silvers and bronzes. Do you put in like 40-50 buy orders in at a time? How long does it take to fill? Do you just leave the price or do you adjust if you’re being outbid/taking too long?

Here was my method for bronze and silvers before i said screw and just went after gold 82's and 83's.

    1. Pick out 4 or 5 different bronze/silvers to invest in.
    2. Put in 40-50 buy orders for them (about 10 per player or so to mix it up. Takes roughly 10-15 mins).
    3. Check back in an hour. See how many buy orders are left.
    4. Re-list any of the remaining buy orders that didnt get filled (prices increased).
    5. Check back again in 15-30 mins. Buy out whatever is left.

You'll go crazy if youre constantly monitoring and trying to outbid which is why i waited so long in between. I usually just play the game and grind innings or something while im waiting.

Overall, i ended up just saying screw it and put in 4-5 buy orders for 1000 - 1200 for 82 and 83 golds. Fill in the blanks with commons. In total should cost you only 5-6k per 10 TA points. It was worth it for me in time saved alone even though it cost a little more than the bronze/silver method.

I was doing the 83s too. But they’ve gotten too high to make it worth it. People have priced them up.

It just feels when I try to go the silver or bronze route, I have to put in maybe a hundred orders or so and they don’t go through very often. When you have a wall like that in the order list, you might purchase one every now and then, but you’re constantly being outbid.

Yeah the timing is everything with those. The prices can fluctuate pretty quickly on them. I was doing Diamondbacks TA's just last week as was able to buy up a bunch of Joey Gallo's at 1100-1200 a pop and now he was up around 1800 last i checked.

49 x 72 + 1 x 73. Worked out to just over 4000 stubs per 10 points paying mostly 70 to 85 and sometimes up to 90 for the 72’s and up to 100 for the 73’s. Did Blue Jays from scratch doing only exchanges and inning/hits missions in Conquest and the few moments this week. Got Henke and made stubs because I pulled a Scherzer. But even without Scherzer and prices rising the amount of packs and stubs you get along the TA it would be darn near even I bet. At the very least it would have been much cheaper than buying Henke at 60k. I put orders in every night and by morning they were all filled most of the time. Reset all the buys. Filled by lunch. Reset again. Filled by evening. Didn’t chase any higher prices. Probably bought 150-200 72’s per day and a few 73’s along the way. I was surprised at the liquidity to be honest.
