Team Affinity and Extra Inning Games

I really just don't get why games vs Extra Inning games vs other DD players team don't count towards anything except XP and a few stubs and don't count towards TA innings. Grinding stats online and asking for people to help you boost is ok and so is grinding games vs the Orioles is fine for TA so why not games vs other people's teams?
I get that people used to make Yeti teams but really, how is that worse than what happens online with people basically cheating the system to prestige players? I don't play online much, every once in a while I will jump in for a game but I like collecting new cards and playing against the AI so why can't that be possible?

Since the development of team affinity and the need to log innings, I’ve always wished Extra Inning games counted. If you’re into the offline grind, I always thought it would be nice to be able to get TA innings that way so it would offer some variety to the teams you play. Even the most dedicated grinder can only play the Orioles offline so many times. I like having variety in the opponents you face.

Even if it only counted Innings Played and not individual stats, that would solve the yeti team issue. It would be a welcome option for offline players.

I wish they did. My son and I like to play against each other but don't do it often since its a waste of time.

Yeah, i never play that mode for that reason. Although playing a yeti team on legend could yield you good post game rewards, the games don't co7nt towards TA, so why bother, but i am able to beat the Tigers on Legend now, I'd like to play teams with good cards not just LS cards. I've been saying that for years that a mode vs teams that utilize cards other than LS. Showdown is like that, but i am not using my DD in Showdown.

A yeti team?

The Yetis were a team made up of catchers playing out of position from MLB 17(?). You could play them on legend and it was pretty much a easy win every time. It was a very easy way to rack up stats and XP (it was allowed against other users teams that year).

Im mostly an offline grind DD player and only ever play RS for the points towards the innings programs. I dont mind the play vs cpu and conquest games to grind innings....but it does get stale playing only mlb teams. It would be nice if extra innings games counted AT LEAST towards the innings requirements for TA for variety sake. I understand the stat requirement missions can be easily cheesed but innings would be nice.

There is no offline stat grind now so it makes no sense. I just want to play with my best team vs a team that is close to my overall. I dont want to play a stacked up team vs a bunch of gold, silvers and bronze players. Right now, there is no point
