Play with legends

I've been playing franchise with legends for quite some time now. I've been using the original game rosters that don't include Pete Alonso. Now I downloaded the current updated rosters, I can't seem to get the legends. I choose legends on and when I go to free agents they're not there. I hate to get too far in the franchise then I have to start over. Inform me please!!

Is there a way possible that I get play with legends and uploaded vault roster?
