I need to stop taking a lead off of second

It doesn't matter how fast the guy is or what his steal rating is for me or who is pitching my guys always seem to get picked off at second when I take a lead out there

Even with two outs, as soon as they take that step, just quick change your middle infielder to cover 2nd before you choose a pitch. Then choose fastball and get the easy pickoff.

I always spam the call time button as soon as people do that, then I just don’t take a step. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking a lead when nobody is holding you on.

I always spam the call time button as soon as people do that, then I just don’t take a step. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking a lead when nobody is holding you on.
I don't get mad when people spam call time in that situation. I actually respect them more for it. I take leads off second when nobody is holding too. No reason not to get that extra step. It's all strategy. I hit and run in strange situations to catch people off guard. I'll (sometimes) bunt if people have auto shift on against my lefties. It's all about strategy and situational awareness.
