I like the cutter, it moves a lot, and throw the slider off that, the fastball and change are just looking to become souvenirs, so I try to use those sparingly, and the sinker has it's moments of effectiveness.

    You like his slider?
It seems to me that it has very little/ not enough movement to induce a swing and miss. It comes in too straight and is too easily identified as a ball or strike when trying to induce a swing on a ball breaking out of the zone.

But, I do like Rodeny's changeup for some reason.

I hold my breath on all other changeups, if I throw them.
But Rodney's is fast enough to get up on someone quickly, yet the speed difference between the FB/Sinker and the change up seems to work out well.

I've had good success with his slider, both in and out of the zone, lots of swing and misses.

Cutter cutter slider U turn. That’s been my experience with him. I will say that I kill him as a batter. I see his stuff really well. So I love pitching with him and I love facing him as a batter.

Funny that you mention that, I do well against him also.
He doesnt throw the blazing gas that a Chapman or Dibble throw, so I am always confident against him.

Now Dibble and Chapman? It's over for me. I cannot catch up to the gas and well placed off speed stuff gets me since I am geared up for the gas. But if they hang one, I kill it.

I found a lot of success using the changeup this event mainly because everyone is expecting hard fastballs they'll chase the change granted I would never use this strategy in ranked because I don't trust the changeup either but for events who cares

I have been playing the event mostly to prestige Mo and finally finsh Oswalt.

Mo has been shakey at times for me.
How are you guys utilizing him?
I mean what pitch mix are you using? I have not been able to figure out a putaway pitch with him.
He doesnt have a wipeout slider and I do not trust changeups at all. Everything else is pretty much the same speed.

    Any tips will be appreciated.
    Thanks

I think most people look for the cutter and for good reason. Maybe mix in more sinkers and 4 seam.

I've only used him once and he gave up 2 runs and blew a 3-1 lead for me after Dibble struck out 2 of 3 for a scoreless inning.

Exactly, he doesnt have "blow you away" stuff.
In real life that inside cutter would shatter bats all the time, but in this game that inside cutter gets obliterated at times.
I am starting to think I made a mistake picking him over Walker. But I let my fondness of Mo in real life cloud my judgement when it comes to selecting a boss.

I agree... but people are giving good advice in here. Hopefully I learn how to better use him and drop his ERA from 18.00 lol

When I first started using him, he was a train wreck, I couldn't bring him in with less than a 3 run lead, but the more I've used him, and mixed up his stuff, the better I've gotten with him, he wouldn't close a game over Henke or Chappy for me, but he is far less of a liability coming in for me now than at first.

I agree, I've lost a few games because of him, and I'm still at the 3 to 4 run lead before I bring him in.. I rather dibble at the moment.

Most of the time its the slider, but it all depends on how I approach the batter, I can get swings and misses on any of his pitches, but I can also watch any of his pitches leave the yard, first time using the prestiged card last night, he blew a 2 run lead, so any confidence I had in him is gone again.

I am about to give up on Mo. He is consistently inconsistent.
I had one game where he got a 1,2,3 save and then the next game he strikes out the first two and then all of the sudden I can't locate.

I am real close to selling him and picking up Walker or Dibble.

Mo has been nice for me. Not completely lights out but it’s very tough for someone to get a rally going on him.

I’m actually thinking about selling Dibble. He’s tough to locate with but he has a unique delivery so I’m hoping it’s just a matter of getting more used to him. Seems like with Dibble I just have to pray it goes where I want it to and if it doesn’t, pray the pitch is too nasty for my opponent to square up.

I thought I was figuring him out, but his last outing has shaken that confidence.
I am going to only use him from now on with 100% energy.
Last time I used him in back to back games. (a quick inning in the 1st one and only 2/3 of an inning the second time)
