Despite everything else that's been said in this thread, this just about proves that top DD players are better than top H2H players. There's about 1200 people in DD that can hit any pitch in the strike zone regardless of whether or not it's on the black.
Don’t doubt that as when I play the yanks or doyers a top player can hit any pitch for a homer. Against both teams they even hit balls out for homers.

2004, Thome hit 42 home runs with a .274 with a .977 OPSI could keep going, but in his prime Thome was one of the most prolific power hitters ever.

You don’t know how hard it is to hit in DD until you’ve faced 99 Corey Kluber on legend difficulty. He puts the very best pitchers in H2H to shame, and that’s putting it lightly.

I could just see a DD player absolutely raging playing with the Marlins like me and after so many perfect perfect outs because the team has literally zero pop
U have to hit a ball absolutely perfect to hit a homer with this team
When I play with 20th overall Texas hit minimum of 3 homers a game
And I choose these teams choice bc I like them and fun beating yanks and doyers with incredibly inferior talent just saying the skill gap between top H2H and DD players is closer than u think

65-74 overall, and they are facing the absolute stacked pitching staffs that you keep bringing up, so they have it much harder than your Marlins do.

Online h2h is like triple a baseball and online rs dd is the major leagues. Its not that there isnt good players and good teams in triple a but the talent pool of the majors is just better and deeper across the board. More high end competitive players playing dd raises the level of competition regardless of rosters and ratings. Its not universal that all dd players are better then h2h and vice versa but overall dd is a more competitive experience despite the game play flaws.

I’m a Dolphins fan in football and to show how realistic I like to play in espn NFL2K5 I benched Ricky Williams and didn’t give him one carry all year in online H2H
That was the year he quit on the fins in training camp but was still available to use in the game.
Dramatically increasing my chance to lose games by not playing the best RB in league at the time but just shows how realistic I play in any game
Which why even if DD is more competitive with more players I just can’t do it Love how H2H always updates rosters throughout year to reflect injuries in the show to keep it up to date with real baseball

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me personally, I like playing with legends, I like using players I grew up watching. Yes not every stat or card is based on 100% realism, but that doesn't really bother me. I also love the card collecting aspect of it because I collect cards in real life.

MUT still makes me laugh when u see a guy Playing with Troy Aikman and Emmit Smith both wearing Eagles uniform and the game is at the Meadowlands
Or a DD player with fake stacked team playing in a minor league stadium in which they don’t even know what state it’s in or park they never heard of
But I’m prob way too old school for this generation

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me personally, I like playing with legends, I like using players I grew up watching. Yes not every stat or card is based on 100% realism, but that doesn't really bother me. I also love the card collecting aspect of it because I collect cards in real life.
I got so many cards from when I was a kid. They are worth nothing now right? I remember getting the Beckett books to look up the value of special cards etc. I don’t even know where to buy them anymore
