New Event Rewards vs selling current Prime/Sig players

So I have Kemp, Franco, and Brantley that I can sell.
Could probably get 30K for Kemp (paid 18), 20K for Franco (paid 14), and 15K for Brantley (paid 15, so that would be a wash; so technically I could sell them for 65K and profit 18K.
Or I can play this awful Event, deal with the toxicity, and hope that when I hit enough wins for Didier, Darvish, and Bettances; they're worth ore than 15K, 30K, and 50K respectively. (Which I highly doubt because unless they do another 3 cards for the second one of these Events; these 3 players will be flooding the market.)
If Kemp and Franco are still at 30/20k profit tomorrow; I think I'm selling them and not dealing with this Event
Neither Didier, Darvish, or Betances will make my squad.

I mean, the big question is, what will you do with the stubs? Do you need them? Do you want to holds cards in case of an Honus collection? If you think you'll have more fun with the stubs instead of the cards, sell em.

Franco is a legitimate bullpen arm and the only one I'd keep of the three. But if you neither have any reason to play the event, nor any reason to sell, why do either?
