Played my first game of the new Event a few mins ago and was told, by my opponent afterwards, that the game took too long. Ummm, it lasted 15 mins?
And that's because we both had to pause for a few seconds. Him to tell me to stop holding R2. Me to reply back that the ONLY reason I was holding R2 was becauae he was quick pitching. (First 3 pitches were throw within 3-5secs.)
He then proceeds to tell me that is how you're supposed to play Event games; so they dont take long.
What?
He also said that because I was working the count, and not blindly swinging, plus trying to locate my pitches; that I was making the game last EVEN longer.
What?

Yah that's riddiculus. I completely understand your frustration.

My first game took longer, It went into extra innings, I lost 1-0. I made a few base running mistake cause the game was glitching, I ask for a friendly quit in the 1st inning when I saw it glitching. We were playing in a Minor league Stadium. My P4 is hardwired. I probably should of just quit when my opponent did not accept my friendly quit.

Holding R2 to combat quick pitching is kinda cheesy. But the guy claiming “that’s how event games are played” is reaching a bit. It’s not like dude was going to win 100 games today.

I had someone offer a FQ down 1-0 going into the bottom of the 2nd. Before I could decline it, he quit. I’m guessing he either selected the wrong quit or realized he was actually losing the game.

I do that a lot. I don’t dashboard ever but I can easily tell when I’m wasting my time playing event games out. It is so easy to accidentally hit FQ instead of j just quitting

I had a few guys dashboard in the moonshot just because I wasn’t swinging at blatant balls out of the zone. They just continued to walk my players then, “connection to your opponent lost”
-
If he is complaining about it taking too long, hes in the wrong event. Only played 4 games, 1 game i got crushed, the other 3 went way more than 3 innings.
-
I had NO intentions of playing this Event.
To many wins for cards that wont make my lineup, and would probably be worth 50-60K tops (all 3 together) by the time I got them; if I actually grinded out the wins.
I waa just going to sell off m Prime/Sig players that I won't use outside of this Event; for about the same amount of stubs.
However, after my last 2 opponents have dashboarded, on what wouldve been 2 and 3 run shots; giving me a 3-0 record; I may play it out until I hace to make a new lineup.

I wouldn’t go as far to call it cheesy. It only last for a couple of seconds anyway. Besides, he has the right to overlook the pitches that were thrown. Quick pitching makes it impossible to do without R2.
