...you should have to drive the bus, from park to park.
Then, it would be a truly immersive, minor league experience, and most players would give up before the ever get to the majors...just like the real thing!
Also, I've never played a bus-driving sim, so that would probably be pretty sweet.

Well, riding the bus would be unrealistic because minor league players don't drive the buses, they sit in them. We can't have that.
So you have to sit at your computer for 1-5 hours reading a book/listening to music while your player travels to their destination. -
They should also make one of your teammates a serial killer because statistically it’s probably not too far-fetched.

Would work perfectly into the cutscenes too. "Jefferson tells you that he butchered his backdoor neighbor with a hatchet and his baseball bat and is ready to step up to the plate today"

This might completely change the "Ice Water Veins," "Deadeye," "Outlaw," "Critical Strike," "Off the Radar," and "Sniper" perks...
