That’s deceptive. It’d be like if I said “$5 for this hamburger” and then after you started eating I told you it was $5 for the first bite and $2000 for the rest.

Say, since I'm furloughed at work that is not a bad business idea ...

I'm a fairly average hitter in this game and Smoltz completely embarrassed me last night. AND I was a couple seltzers deep in that perfect focused/buzzed mentality. He's the real deal

That perfect focused/buzzed mentality is a wonderful place to be. It doesn't last long, either you aren't there yet or you've long passed it, but when you're sitting right there it can be very helpful in this game.

Finally a decent starter with a slurve not named Mize going for way to much, Kerry Wood already stole a game for me I had no business winning.

That’s how I am playing pool. Trash sober, trash drunk. Can maybe win a game if I’m just slightly buzzed but that won’t last long.

More like if OP had said “It'll be $5 for this hamburger” and then showed up with an optional large fry that you felt compelled to eat every single one since it was free and then you go "why did I eat so much I'm trying to lose weight"?!
