SDS Should have 2 Events Going at Once

One of my biggest gripes with this game is the lack of modes to use my top, hard-earned players. Unless you count conquest which is what, like 24 innings per program, the only place to use our "God Squads" is Ranked Seasons.
I don't always have the time, energy, or stress management levels to play a full game of zeroed-in laser-focus RS, but would love to get some practice or casual at bats in with my top players.
A simple fix seems to be having an "Event" style 3 inning mode with no lineup restrictions. Have rewards like you would each event, and let us get up to 50 wins per inning program for rewards.
That way people can choose if they wanna play the quirky event for the buffed rewards, or the "4th Inning Event" for lesser-ish awards.
This would also make prestiging players more feasible since I'd have to play about 120 more RS games to come close for Biggio....
Not sure how anyone could object to this, people would self-select which mode they want to play without being limited to full 9-inning RS games on certain difficulties.
Maybe they'd have a HOF and All-Star option so you could practice. Sucks that I have to switch between HOF and All-Star cold turkey here and there since I'm in Division Series and hover between the two.
I come from 2K, and their "Triple Threat" mode is similar to events, much shorter, fun to climb the ladder for rewards without the "all-or-nothing" sweatiness that's not always desired.

I like this idea a lot.

This is my first year, and I knew about this issue going into it, so I'm not upset with SDS, but I think its just a huge addition they could make.
The framework / template for this is already there, just a matter of adding an additional tab.
Just mind boggling that I can't practice with my team, or my new Felix card, have to go into RS against fellow 750 ranked guys to test him out.
Not sure how they have such a glaring hole in their gameplay offerings.

I don’t know about you guys but I have no interest in events this year at all. Why play 100 games for a card that is only useable for a couple weeks at most. The rewards and amount of wins aren’t as good as the last few years. Also it’s pretty lazy to just double the length of events after a week and a half to add packs, make different events with different rewards and I feel more people would play
-
The only problem I have with no restrictions is that people will abuse it for prestige stats.
-
Love this. At least some kind of warmup on hall of fame in a casual environment before hopping into ranked?
-
I like this a lot! It’s hard to commit an hour for a RS game, where I can’t pause for more than 3 min if something comes up.

I agree, the events they put out now are very meh IMO. Tons of sweat for average rewards. At least if I could use my top players, I could work on prestiging and just general practice with them.
Same with TA grinding. I have 2 hit 2 HR's with Gallo in online play for 5 TA points.
Do I really have to bench Reggie Jackson for 5-6 games to give Gallo a chance at hitting HR's? Let me do that in events.

I thought the same thing, but even with abusing it for stats, its still a grind. Plus, if you earned the player, prestiging shouldn't be as hard as it is now.
Add an innings requirement so ppl have to complete games, or wins with X player in lineup or something.

I think there should be some restrictions. Otherwise it’s just another platform to face Kluber/Newhouser.
-
All I know is that the current event is garbage
-
Great idea. I too like playing with my full team. I have mantle and see no benefit from using gold players in an event.
-
Yeah, then I can do missions for Omar for 10 program points and try out cards online without the pressure of dropping my rating.
-
There ABSOLUTELY needs to be another events style mode with no restrictions. If casual would count innings/stats that would be great but would have issues. I hate having to be forced to play RS just to use a card that’s not events eligible. The original post is a great way to get the ball rolling with that and in a shortened experience would be enough to satisfy the players who want to use their juicier cards.
-
I like the 3 inning format a lot! I usually don't have time for 9 innings but can usually squeeze in an event game every night. I don't really play BR because I'm not an elite player and at the best I'm going to get my stubs back.

That is how you can practice against them!

Yup, they could even make it so if you complete the 50 wins or whatever, you get 30 program stars. Or maybe 15 stars at 20 wins or something.

Exactly! You could begin to read their pitches in a calmer format, rather than stressing in ranked.
Ideally people wouldn't restart their run so stamina would come into effect, but nothing we can do there.
This format might promote a wider variety of pitchers since people may want to get TA online innings done, Prestiging certain pitchers they wouldn't want to throw in a RS game etc.

I dunno about you but i don't restart my run if i have a chance at a 12 win entry and a free diamond

That’s not it. I’m just sick of seeing one or the other every single game.
