This game has hope

Just picked it up, yeah it needs some work, but it's not as bad as people have been making it out to be... NOW that being said I mainly play franchise offline so the online complaints I'm sure are valid, I won't challenge any of that... BUT speaking from an offline franchise perspective, this game has hope and it's not the disaster I was kinda expecting from reading so much... fielding needs work, diving to stop infield hits is almost useless because it's like you're a backstop now, not someone actually fielding the ball, something very satisfying about diving to stop and infield hit and throwing from a knee over to first, and so far I never field the ball, it just bounces off me, and that needs to be addressed.... Pitching needs better accuracy, another thing they really need to polish, I use the pitching meter because of my love for MVP 2005, I've always liked that system and in the Show so many times it just doesn't even come close to the mark you put it on even if you NAIL the accuracy, so that needs work... Hitting is ok, crack of the bat sounds cool, timing is legit, I have no major issue there, other than the hitting could be toned down a bit... I love the new presentation other than the crowd, which still mindlessly cheers like a soccer game in Brazil... Baseball is a slow game with moments of excitement so the crowd could definitely be more realistic.... But the presentation is faster, on hybrid it's like hybrid now, the flash replay is faster, nicer, and I love the scoreboard being in the bottom right, and it's nice not having that logo constantly flashing in your face, and when it does now it's fast and not as annoying and definite doesn't happen as much... Overall franchise offline is better than I expected, it needs some polishing so hopefully it can be with the fielding and pitching, but overall I'm cool with the purchase so far, I like some of the stuff they've done.....

Here is a quick example of the infield diving.... You never seem to glove it like years past, it just bounces off you .... Something that can definitely use a patch... This has happened 8-10 times now and I never actually glove the ball and make a play, just bounces off ya ....

This is the state of the game after it’s had some work done via patches. The complaints you’ve been reading up to this point in the season have been entirely valid and have got us to this point, where, in your own words “..It needs some work..... Pitching accuracy needs work..... Fielding needs work ....... Hitting needs toning down.....” can you imagine what we’ve been through since March, considering it’s now mid-June?

What rating enables that ? Because in past Show games this has never been an issue, I don’t expect to make every dive play, that wouldn’t be realistic, but I’m bobbling every one every-time and I’m a good fielder.... Here are 2 examples in the same game recently ... JP Crawford at shortstop and Volgelbach at 1st base...

Facts. I break hearts and kill rallies with the 2b in the hole grounder. Like the outfield red warning. Easy..Any doubts and dive head first and right past ya is crucial.This game isn't bad at all. Some issues are unfair like Network errors after you take the lead Usually 7th inning Got receipts and SDS is investigating. 20 wins potential ly gone Not like last years Network error but when switched to 5 GHZ 2 more all.year Caught how they are doing it this year if any know what Im speaking of. Wont get into it, will breed more trolls.

They gotta balance that though, I’ve literally never been able to nab a ground ball in 20 when diving yet so far... Even if a players fielding ratings are kinda low they can still make those plays on occasion, I just put up 3 examples and it’s like the fielder doesn’t even have a glove, he’s just a body blocking the ball ... I’ve had it happen probably 10-15 times now in 20 and not one time has my fielder actually gloved the ball without it bouncing off him, that’s too extreme towards the ratings... Needs a patch and some balance...
