SDS this is a perfect example of why people get annoyed

In the 4th inning showdown there is a challenge to get 6 total bases before recording 9 outs - fair enough...So why do we have to pitch to the cpu every 3 outs when there is no goal linked to pitching performance? It doesn’t matter if we go 3 up & 3 down or if we give up 10 runs. All that matters is getting 6 bases before 9 outs. So why waste our time in having to pitch to the cpu? This is the kind of stuff that annoys people.

Agree w this. Makes no sense
-
my personal favorite is the fact we are also pitching to juiced up teams all it does is make me waste more time because I give up a hit here and there on a moment that batting is what matters

Why does it actually matter? It is not some game breaking bug.

I got 5 bases with 6 outs left. I quit so I didn't have to pitch.

Because it serves ZERO purpose. That’s time being wasted that could be used on another challenge. These showdowns take long enough as is. No need spending time doing something that has no bearing on the challenge.

Not to mention the amped up superhuman defensive plays that the CPU does to rob you. There are also way more pickoff moves by the CPU during showdown even when it is on Veteran. Why make the game punish your active community unfairly like that? It’s hard for me to defend EA, but recently they had solo challenges that would allow you to pick one of the Golden Ticket best players in the game. They actually made the last 2 rounds of challenges fair and much easier to accomplish. Other than greed, I just don’t understand why any of these companies continue to set up animosity with their active playing community. 2K is the worse, but honestly SDS seems to be headed that way as they keep nerfing packs odds and play mechanics. Make it a good experience and a company may just find that they retain more paying customers. I’ll never understand it. SDS has the framework of a really rewarding game but just always falls short with communication on play mechanics.

This is totally off topic. Please don’t turn this thread into a whine fest. I simply want SDS to hear why we don’t like being forced to play parts of challenges that have no relevance to the required goals.

I would be more concerned about the superhuman defense of all pitchers in the showdown

I want the pitching. I equip when losing perks. Feed the team like 10 runs so the second and third innings I have a boost
