Idea for SDS: RS Should End with Ranked Playoffs

I have an idea for SDS I think would be a lot of fun and well received. This is the general idea, logistics/details could be worked out.
Ranked Seasons should conclude with a Ranked Playoff for that season. After the season there should be a playoff for a few days, maybe over a weekend, players would need to go on a "flawless" 3-0 run to win the playoff. Rewards would be issued for playoff winners.
This would be a really fun way to conclude a RS IMO.
Details that could be worked out:

Rewards could contain a banner icon set for Season X Champ, and then either packs, choice pack, or just stubs. Or they could issue special cards as rewards too.

Collection could be done for exchanging Season Champ banners to get a reward. Such as collect 5 season champ banners to get X.

Match making would be the same as RS and rewards would be higher for higher tiers to not entice sandbagging.

You would need to play X number of games to qualify for the playoff, or perhaps X number of wins -- win 10 or 15 games to qualify?

SDS should make RS to not be a complete S-Show.

Could be fun....would either overlap with start of 2nd season for those who lose early or there would be a gap in timing from one season to the next (I'd prefer the overlap tbh).
That said....I'd rather they start with better rewards across the tiers and give me an option to get some small amount of stubs for the duplicate banners/icons you get every season (or just stop handing them out if the user has one).
