Considering there is only 8 or so cards to choose from they really don’t have a choice in these. Its not like they are pulling these cards out of their [censored] here

The award goes back to 1958. I can think of plenty hitters and pitchers you can choose from. For example Daniel Murphy 2016 can play many positions.

MLB the show gives POTM cards based on certain performances throughout the month. They don’t always follow the real life player of the month awards. They started doing this in 17. The cards released in these programs were cards released in previous games’ POTM programs, so there are only 8-10 cards for them to choose from to include in this years programs. If we had a baseball season we would get cards based on performances from this year
