Factual information is not "sleeping on him"
Mays is better as a hitter, as a fielder, stronger arm, same with Griffey, the only thing Cobb has on either of them is speed, that's not sleeping on him, that's factual.

Cobb is my favorite bench bat late in a game if I need a single or a PR if I need a SB. I then double switch him for Ruth in Left and he is a defensive beast minus the arm.

Mays is the best Centerfield defender in the game, IMHO.......He is a great hitter but not as forgiving as Griffey in my experience.
Side Note ---i love that they put in Mays famous over the shoulder catch animation if you make a play that is similar.
Griffey is a great defender but an insane hitter and the exact reverse of Mays.
Its real close, but if you need a bit more speed and defense, go Mays, and if you need a bit more offense in a lefty bat, go Griffey.
Again....this is just my personal experience so YMMV
