Showdown after the patch
-
Has anyone tried playing showdown after the patch?
Not just once, but at least a few rounds to eliminate randomness?Showdowns have driven me insane, my biggest problem are my momentary lapses in focus that cost me big time.
Yes, I know Yordan Alvarez can look like Jim Edmonds diving in the outfield.
But without a doubt the vast majority of my showdown loses have been my fault.
Call it impatience, poor PCI placement or letting frustration mount and swinging at stuff I should not be swining at.Since the patch have you guys noticed anything different?

Still easy.

In my opinion nothing has changed. Perfect/perfect and good squared still result in a lot of outs. It still requires a lot of patience. Especially when I feel like at least three times a sequence, you are getting robbed at the wall by a outfielder. Also, I have started to noticed a lot more rounds that are only giving you one player and three pitchers. My last round before the showdown final boss, I had three diamond pitchers and one player. I hope your experience is better than mine!

I have learned to take ZERO risks on the basepaths. I never take an extra step no matter who the runner is.
I just need to stay patient and not swing at stuff trying to hit a 5 run HR on every swing. And most importantly I need to avoid strikeouts and double plays, If I can do that, I should do better.

I did the NL Central twice, AL Central twice, and NL 3 times yesterday, perfect 7/7.

Showdown feels as fine as it always has.

I somehow managed to ground into 6 double plays against Charlie Morton in the last Showdown I tried. Two of those were perfect perfects.

I honestly feel like it is not much different....playing cpu on all Star for the Dawson program felt very different...I am a casual player and was up by 6 runs by the 4th inning...yet still can't finish the 3rd inning showdown and have trouble getting a base hit on rookie in that mode.... honestly SDS please label the showdown modes properly...It Is NOT on rookie....100% BS

CPU pounds lower part of zone whenever you got a man on first. I sit low and try to get under ball to stay out of double plays.
