Hitting Update - Amazing So Far

I’m LOVING the new update:
Just played 3 RS games all wins in a matter of 20 minutes:
Game 1: Quit after seeing my God Squad
Game 2: Biggio HR in the 2nd inning - He rage quits
Game 3: Trout leadoff HR, Mantle almost HR but gets a double, Sheffield HR off a contact swing - He rage quits.
My players finally feel like they hit at their attributes. Just wait for fast [censored] and swing away!
Just pitch SUPER carefully, no fastballs.

I just played one and finally hit 2 bombs with Mantle after going without any for 75 at bats or so. I know it’s just one game, but definitely felt a lot better as far as the timing goes.

What does this have to do with gameplay? Not saying hitting didn't get better, but what does this have to do with the patch?

See this kind of worries me. I felt the timing window on HOF was fine once you adjusted to it (very challenging). I could pitch by moving fastballs around the zone and keep guys off balance with offspeed.
I know this will make hitting easier, which is fine, but with pitchers having stuff leake over the middle all the time and opened up timing windows, seems like it could be a problem.
I don’t even want to imagine all star difficulty lol. Probably going to be all slugfests.

No joke. ERAs are already hovering around 4.50 with my best relievers/starters. All star is too easy, HoF is where I'm interested to see the dofference.

Personally I much prefer to play a 12-8 slugfest then a 2-1 bore fest. Dont get me wrong I love a great pitchers dual in real life but in a video game let the ball fly

So the game is completely unrealistic? MLB hitters will tell you the hardest pitch to hit is a well-located fastball. If you can't even throw one in a video game, why play it?

IDK I'm having fun. Not saying every FB is gonna be a homer, but seems like that is easier to make contact on with the larger PCI. Only about 8 innings of sample size but destroyed Hal.

Yeah, and those 3 innings were so massively different and successful for me that it resulted in rage quits and homeruns from players I've struggled with for weeks. Either its the world's biggest coincidence, or its a result of the patch.

Watch out, Hall Monitor @Jeviduty will say you're not allowed to post any observations until you have a minimum of 500 AB's in the new patch.

Okay so I've just got one event game under my belt since the update but I played an all diamond team.
I've got maybe like 3 diamonds on my squad. I hit a two run homer with one guy and had a few singles and two doubles. Hitting felt sooooo smooth.
Pitching wise I was able to still blow fastballs by my opponent - who was already diamond so they've got some experience.
My homerun though was on a breaking ball. Normally I feel as if I would have gotten worse contact before the update, even though I hit it pretty well.
I used Morton, Sale, and Pagan. Fastballs still can go by people, but if they are looking for it they might crush it. My opponent just missed a fastball and crushed it early so it went foul instead of a homerun. I left the fastball somewhat high and inside but he was looking for it.
I like this update alot. Reminds me of early launch.

Do we think this will make the stage 1 showdowns any easier? I still need to grind those.
