You can buy/earn a base card of a player and power them up through the tiers with another currency like training in MUT or do stat grinds online/offline.

Training, or whatever you want to call it, could be acquired through exchanges or getting training packs as rewards in RS. Training could also be in packs.

For exchanges, the overalls of players would determine the training value, this could make the market more interesting.

Power up program is huge in MUT and adds a ton of variety in building lineups. This game has the potential to take lineups to the next level.

I see your point and like anything that could add some stat grinds, but in general, I'm not a big fan of this idea and would prefer the least amount in common with Madden. More versions of a player card, and different cards is good for me!

I used to collect real baseball cards, so having a virtual version of that which you can play with is fun. With real baseball cards you can't upgrade them, you need to get a different version for it to be more valuable; which is the concept of DD. I like seeing pictures of real Topps cards instead of fake images too, guess I'm old school though.

I'd rather stay away from anything Madden does. I'd prefer three different Griffey cards from different seasons than one card that keeps getting upgraded.

I don’t get why people hate what Madden does so much. Their offline grind is 10000 times better than MLB where decent players can earn good cards.

I agree and they don’t lock cards behind online play as much as SDS did this year.

They do collections as well but different. You grade in for the other higher ranked player but MLB you keep the cards.

I totally agree with needing more offline grinds, like the evo cards this year. I don’t just want a different color card though, want a new version. Like from rookie to breakout to allstar...

All the best cards are in the XP path or team affinity. You don't have to spend money or play online.

You said you can't put together a great team unless you play online or buy them.

Yes you can. If you want to buy BR or WS cards you can, the game gives you enough stub opportunities that you can buy one or two. But the best players are and probably always will be in the team affinities or inning programs, which are entirely free.

No, no, no, and no again. Stopping putting this garbage into the universe. Did people not learn after the 1.04 patch fiasco!?

12 of my TA cards came from offline MTO play done by my son and I.

You don't need really good cards to do well in MLB since you control the two players (pitcher/batter) that matter the most. That's not true in madden.

Because it’s EA, and If madden is anything like fifa, then f-madden. Fifa makes it seem like you get free cards but in reality they take so much time and effort that’ it’s pointless because they release a better card in packs two days later. And untradeable packs galore as well

Not as true anymore, years past FIFA has probably had the worst free reward system ever. I think Icon swaps this year was the best free content I’ve ever gotten in any game. Easily 6 million coins worth of Cards and you had choices between all the icons.

The systems are just different, they are for every game, the cards you earn get replaced, but that’s just like this game. You can put them into SBCs for other amazing players and the coin making is even easier in FIFA when u get it down. RunTheMarket has more coins and the same players as anyone who spends 50,000$

Worst gameplay ever I’ve had in any game tho.

If you support Madden, MUT, and their power up system then I fully disregard any opinion you have. MUT is garbage and the power up program is a designed coin sink that scams users.

Imagine wanting that implemented in this game....

Training is very easy and cheap if you know what your doing. I have a 98 OVR team of the players I want NMS all year. If you allowed them to scam you then your doing something wrong.

The gameplay might be garbage but the content is really good and building lineups is a lot funner than this game with all the diversity MUT has.

You literally can't run with your QB out of the pocket unless you buy an ability with training in Madden...
