Does anyone wish you can have a lineup based on what handed the opposing pitcher is so when you play online you can play to your strength and know ahead of time?
no because everyone would have nine Lefty batters versus a right-handed pitcher and 9 righty hitters versus a left-handed pitcher. It would be stupid and unrealistic even though in real baseball you know the pitcher ahead of the game.
The lineups would be according to your active roster not all cards available.

I have been suggesting this ability for some time now.

Back when the mode first started you used to know what pitcher you would face before setting your lineup. It was a great idea that they abandoned for no reason. They need to implement that and also implement a stamina meter for the full team, that way you cant play your god squad over and over and over again

And after the first inning when I go to the bullpen and change my starter to the opposite hand, then what are you gonna do...
That is a strategy, but that can bite you in the [censored]
It could but mostly will bite my opponent in the azz first. There’s a reason most managers go righty/lefty throughout the lineup when possible
There is also a reason why NO manager ever brings in a new pitcher after the 1st inning and why EVERY manager builds a lineup based on who is pitching
I guess you never heard of the rays using an opener instead of a starter and pulling him after the first inning. They do this because some lineups are heavy at the top with righties or lefties and figure why not take advantage of the matchup now when it’s 0-0 instead of later in the game when it might not matter anymore.
No I have, but using extreme examples never proves a point. I can use an example of a manager bringing in a first baseman to pitch and getting 3 outs but that doesn't mean that is better than using actual pitchers.
It’s not an extreme example when a team does it dozens of times in one season (don’t know any team that used a first baseman DOZENS of times) and other teams start to follow suit and use it as well.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mlb.com/amp/news/how-has-a-year-of-the-opener-changed-baseball.html
You said NO manger has ever done this in the history of baseball. You have just been given two different examples of it being used in the last year.
I believe the only extreme examples and opinions being thrown around here are yours...
You literally said most manager go righty/lefty when building a lineup in response to my comment...that is 100% wrong. All managers build their lineups based on who they are facing. Stop trolling and using extremes to prove your moronic point. Leave this to adults who want to actually contribute to the conversation
See there you go misquoting me just to prove your point. I said they do that when possible. Not all teams have the ability or quality to do that.
You have to result to insults and extremist words (every, all, ever...etc) because you know no one will agree with you based purely on facts.
Your original idea was a bad one and it wasn’t the first time someone has thought of it probably won’t be the last neither. You have been proven wrong so many times in this thread it’s ridiculous but you wanna go down swinging I can respect that.

I concur. It would be nice for ranked season to play similar to franchise where guys need days off. Not only would this add variety but it might actually make SDS some more of their much loved stub money.
-
This is why I try to keep my lineup 4 LHB and 4 RHB, but it would be nice to be able to automatically play Didi against RHP and Hanley against LHP etc.
-
I've been preaching this for a while. Two lineups set based on your roster selected. Set a vs LHP and a vs RHP. Give the option to set BOTH pre game. Enter game still unknowing what you'll face

If you played this game in years past you would know why this is a bad idea and why they took it out already.
Trying to apply real life strategy or make a game more realistic is a good idea sometimes but in this case it’s just not but you’re too stubborn and/or stupid to realize that obviously.
When you’re whole lineup is built to murder righties and your opponent immediately goes to the bullpen to bring in a lefty, and yes it will happen [censored] near every game, think how flooded these forums will get with how unrealistic that is.... Your idea only makes the game less realistic and less fun in the long run. And I’m the idiot lol

Who said anything about relievers lol. You know we’re allowed to bring in starters out of the bullpen just like in real life. And guess what, they can pitch the whole game and probably will since they have the advantage over your stacked one handed lineup. So by my count I’ve burned two pitchers. WOW! A whole two pitchers.
And if you know anything about baseball there’s a huge advantage to pitching to the same side as you throw but I think that concept is too advanced for you so we can come back to that another day ok buddy.
Lastly in case you were unaware how these forums work, when someone usually agrees with you or thinks you made a good point they tend to click that little heart button under your post. From my count looks like next to no one agrees with anything you’ve said so far and you’re just being delusional....again
