Baserunning “bug” when stealing during a wild pitch

Just wanted to see if anyone ever encountered this: I had a runner (POTM Mondesi, 97’speed) on first, who I told to steal second. Runner gets a good jump, and the pitcher throws a wild pitch all the way to the backstop. Mondesi reaches second before the catcher even got the ball, so I tapped L1 (to advance all runners) as I thought I had a shot at third. Mondesi runs back to first, the catcher throws the ball to 2nd, and they throw me out in the rundown.

As he was running back to first I was even thinking, “Do I have to tap R2 now to get him to return to second? Is everything backwards” and in the blink of an eye and some futile button mashing it was all over.

What I do is i control each individual running so since Mondesi was already on second just press up on the analog stick...you'll see the second base blinking and then press and hold down the square button to advance him to 3rd....hold down on that square for a little bit though cause if its too quick he might return back to second base.
