I play my games ws and cs online. What's the best approach and how successful are you guys at doing showdowns like this? Is it worth it?

SDS

If you just want to get the affinity vouchers, it's worth it. If you want the stubs, xp, and packs along the way, do those first.

If you're facing a reliever, get his pitch count up.

Draft power.

Keyhole your swings. One pitch, one location. Let everything else go.

Don't swing at anything at the bottom of the zone.

SDS

I have only beat 1 like this but really the biggest thing is you need to get lucky in your draft. If you get bronzes that can’t hit then you don’t really have a shot. You need to get lucky with guys like Franmil Reyes, Khris Davis, Teoscar Hernanez, Odor, Choo, etc. in the randomly generated bronze rounds or you are giving up outs with bronzes that have 30 power

SDS

I did one today and my bronze hitter they gave me was Teoscar, Franmil, Cavan Biggio, Odor, Choo. I went for it vs Singer and won it with 10 outs left

Choo is my dude. Guy is clutch in showdown

Yeah he’s been good. For me its Moreland and Odor

SDS

Jesse Winker is my guy. He crushes RHP.

He got some crazy pop. First showdown HR i hit with him... ok, I see you Choo!

SDS

Willie. Calhoun. That is all

SDS

Jay Bruce is my guy in the NL showdowns.

The pitcher's confidence is key. If you get outs early his confidence will go up quickly and it'll be hard to win. Good input will result in outs.
If you can score a few off of him early, his confidence will drop and when that happens it's party time. You'll get hard hit balls on half decent swings.

It's a tough strategy though, not gonna lie. I personally think it's more beneficial if you just play all the missions in between, farm the XP and stubs and get a way easier final challenge. It's not impossible though: https://imgur.com/a/iLbvCty
