Showdown is easier on All-Star
-
This might be an unpopular opinion on this forum given the amount of showdown complaints on here, but I believe it to be true.
The pitch speeds on veteran are too slow and make it gruesome when adjusting back to online play. Hit outcomes seem so much more random on veteran in showdown than they do on all-star. The biggest complaint I have is that the pci doesn’t move to every spot in the strike zone, limiting the amount of balls you can actually square up, while CPU pitchers paint the black.
Please SDS, give us the option to play showdown on all-star instead of veteran, or at the very least, allow the pci to move just as much as it can on all-star.

All in agreement over here? Let’s change it up a little, just a thought. SDS! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FIX SHOWDOWNS!!

yes, it is. They throw too many strikes on veteran, but not enough hittable strikes. On all star you can be patient and get the pitch count up.

Exactly. They throw the ball to spots in the zone your pci can’t even get to.

You would be ok if we had a choice AS or Vet? I would Prefer Vet as I do not play as much online. AS would not bother me. I am a below avg hitter. Everyone is entitle to an opinion popular or not.

I was thinking this same thing doing the 3rd inning and some stage 1s.
Going from events and HOF mto, I almost always fail the first 2 missions on veteran. early and on top of everything. The timing screws me up big time. Then, once I get it down, i start to feel cocky and content and I'll start making the DUMBEST mistakes. -
Yeah, I would rather swing and miss on all-star if I am fooled by a pitch, then get a pop-up or double play on Veteran. Seems you can never swing and miss on Veteran, which is why I found using power swing playing on veteran more effective.

Conveniently, SDS has success rate data on showdowns and is letting that guide their difficulty going forward it seems. I would guess that veteran is where it will stay from here on out (with no further changes to stage 1].
