I'm sick and tired of using my DD team against poor cou teams like the Orioles on rookie. Get runs, only to give up that many runs in the next inning to [censored] teams when I have 99 overall players and pitchers. SDS, you should be ashamed of yourself over this [censored].

"GeT GoOd" -- SDS

I felt bad using my DD squad to beat the Astros stronghold on All Star. Now I feel much better about it.
-
How are you giving up runs on rookie?

No offense but if you are giving up runs like that on rookie, that's on you 100%.It's not scripted you just played poorly.

I completely agree. There is no motivation for a gaming company that makes the majority of it's money on micro transactions to skew results in order to make more money.

Righttttttttttt, because SDS is making so much money by preventing people from beating the Orioles on rookie
I am talking about the big picture of game design, you are discussing one persons experience in a single game.
no, SDS didn't script a specific results against the Orioles on Rookie, they did however program results from pitches, swings, and fielding. There is no way to make a game without doing so, AI isn't THAT advanced yet. In order to make a working game it is required to script outcomes of specific plays.
The OP is stating that the scripted outcomes favor the computer, most people would agree, and the motivation is money. Without money the game won't be here next year.
Now, you might be fine with them making more money so that we can have a game next year, it's certainly not immoral.
But to suggest it isn't happening shows a lack of understanding when it comes to the most basic programming concepts.

"I'm sick and tired of using my DD team against poor cou teams like the Orioles on rookie.""like the Orioles" implies bad teams, not specifically one team.
But I'm sure you are right, there is no scripting in the game. Through magic, the AI players now have brains and can make decisions for themselves without pre-determined outcomes programmed by SDS. I hope we can all have access to this new technology one day.

Do you have reading comprehension? You want to sound smart, but your talking in circles.
Let's go back and examine it shall we?
I first said " The OP is complaining about the game against the CPU on rookie, specifically the Orioles." Basically reframing his exact sentence, he is complaining about going against the CPU on rookie, and used the Orioles as an example. Then you came and tried to cut his sentence in half, to ignore the Oriole and Rookie part that I brought up to make yourself seem like you are talking about what the OP was, misrepresenting it by not quoting the full sentence.
Is that about right? Or do you want to go back to pretending to be smart?
You also are arguing that I said there was no scripting, as evidenced by "****But I'm sure you are right, there is no scripting in the game. **"
If you could point me to where I said there was no scripting, I'll take it all back.I will wait for your "smart" response.

DUDE. You are talking about playing on ROOKIE. ROOKIE.
You need to head back to the minors.

So if you put up 15 runs on rookie (which is doable with a DD team) they come back on rookie?? Are we just throwing fastballs down the middle with common pitchers?

Maybe you tagged the wrong person. It's not my post, nor do I have issues on Rookie. I was simply stating that all sports games include scripting, it's impossible for AI to make decisions otherwise.
The OP is stating that the scripting is in favor of the computer, I tend to agree, as making the game too easy fails to encourage players to purchase micro transactions.

Please tell us more specifics about the scripting — What’s the protagonist’s arc? Where’s the dramatic irony? What’s the inciting incident, and how does it spur the protagonist to start on his hero’s journey? What’s the reversal at the end of act I? How does the denouement signify a rebirth for our protagonist? We need to know these things.
