Yes, it needs to play on the setting it says its on. That and cut out the superman stuff. There's no way I should lose two straight moments to guys going over the wall to steal my home runs.
-
I enjoy showdown. I think it should be challenging. You can pretty easily make your stubs back by getting past the first boss.
-
I think they should either adjust sliders to match the advertised difficulty, or change what their calling the difficulty to match how it actually plays.
Rookie, veteran and all star do not play anywhere near the same as they do on all other modes.

No problem, best part of the game... u have 20 outs to do it
Doesn't matter how many ours you get if it doesn't play accurately
Or if you can't even make it to the final showdown boss.
Everyone can make it to the final boss
Yeah down 15 runs. Not exactly helpful now is it?

First showdowns bad. Second show downs good. Inning showdowns bad.
I don’t mind a little difficulty but it needs to be through a natural difficulty not rigged ABs. If I want a sweaty challenge I will go online. I’m playing offline for a casual experience.
And don’t give me it should be tough to earn the players. If playing the game for 9 hours isn’t considered enough by itself to earn a 92-95 guy then what are we even doing here.
But it was a great addition to the game and a great idea by the devs. Just needs to be fine tuned into an enjoyable experience.

Sure it does. Are u saying you all your outs are perfect outs
Huh?
Says it allLol umm ok..i didn't understand your post it makes no sense
It makes complete sense. You say it does not play accurately, i say u get 20 outs.. so even if it is not accurate you get 20 outs. So make adjustments while hitting. In order to win all u do is hit, no crying about fielding or pitching u hit. So do u make 20 perfect outs? Iam one to think that playing baseball things happen all the time, that is what makes baseball great. Once again you get 20 outs to make an adjustment and to stop sulking over 1 or 2 at bats u feel should have went your way. -

I dont think you said that, it feels people go to the extreme when showdown does not go there way. It is a tough experience, but even if 5 at bats dont go your way there is still plenty if time to remedy it. The other factors that are problems in the game(fielding and pitching) u dont have to deal with in showdown which makes it a bonus as well

I think the main issue is it says it is set on rookie/veteran and def does not play like it...and the all-star bosses play a lot higher than all star

Change
If they are going to call it veteran until the final, then have it be veteran. Not veteran x10.
-
I think that is subjective to person, i feel it plays like it says it is. But u still have to just play the game. Meaning play baseball. People who say i had runners on 1st and 3rd with 3 outs and couldnt score is on them
-
There is literally nothing wrong with showdown. I beat it about 25% of the time because I'm not the best at it. When I do succeed, I feel like I've really accomplished something. All the people that complain just need to understand that, in baseball, you lineout, guys make diving plays, not every ball you hit well is a base hit.

The 3rd inning showdown already became substantially easier with only 1 elimination showdown. Also, most the missions were really simple. I got this one on my first attempt after getting 9 out of the possible 15 runs (i got impatient on the last few missions).

I beat 3rd inning 1st time out, but been grinding out stage 1 Showdowns. So that could have something to do with it. But I did fail a lot, I had to go into final boss 7-15, but in my opinion it was a lot easier than the initial Showdowns.
Still I am done with stage 2 TA Showdown, I bit the bullet and paid for PS plus so I do online missions.
-
I can't beat the 3rd inning showdown. Last night I managed to tie it up, but couldn't get the winning run in.
My problem is that I suck at getting xbh or whatever. If its just winning a game or something its easy, but as soon as you put in the xbh or runs requirements I'm done.
-
I failed all of the XBH missions (last 3). In the mission where you have to get 4 hits and 2 XBH I finished with 11 hits but somehow only 1 xbh. But I found the final showdown a breeze. I got Medina from the Phillies as my final boss and the only thing he could throw for strikes were 93 mph sinkers and fastballs up in the zone.
Now if only I could beat the TA showdowns...

Things hard. The day it came out I went 0-3 on it. Same day I went 3-1 in RS . Can’t make that up. I still haven’t beat the [censored] thing.

Showdown is a great addition to me. I feel like it plays at the correct level. There's definitely a strategy to building your squad and perks. It's one of my favorite parts of the game, actually.
I haven't noticed insane defense or anything out of the ordinary---maybe I just don't "get it."
I haven't tried any Stage 2 showdowns, but I've done the 1st, 2nd, 3rd inning and a few of the team affinity ones.
