SDS realised their mistake in making Stage 1 Showdowns brutally difficult by making Stage 2 Showdowns easier and better in every way.

Problem with that is that to do Stage 2 Showdowns you have to beat Stage 1 Showdowns which remain difficult as you can imagine.

I see two solutions.Either give us Stage 1 AL and NL Showdowns or let us use Stage 2 vouchers for Stage 1.

I just did Stage 1 Showdown for the first time in weeks and got retired 10 straight by Ohtani
    like it's nothing.

MTO ofcourse is out of the question given how long it takes and no double points anymore.

Stage 1 Showdowns are brutal compared to Stage 2 and that just doesn't work

Something must be done to balance the difficulty

Forgot to add that the simple solution for this would be to increase the number of outs you get for the first and second mini boss

I mean 10 outs to score 4 runs on All Star against Ohtani?

Very very hard thing to do

Sadly, I don't think they will change stage 1 mainly because they realize people would rather do exchanges which requires the usage of the ever precious stub. And they finally patched the double xp mto? Lame!

While we’re spitballing ideas here, would you also prefer for them to just get rid of showdown completely & go back to the mindless grind of mlb 18? They made stage 2 easier to accommodate you whiny people that always need everything dumbed-down. Yet, you’re here asking for more. Showdown makes grinding somewhat feasible. If you want those TA cards, make some adjustments to your gameplay .. cause what you’re doing is clearly not working. Smh

I want them to quit messing with the sliders and quit programming the CPU guys to have the best defensive plays ever in the history of this game.

Play a regular game VS CPU then play Showdown, the difference is night and day. If I can smack around the CPU in a regular game, why can’t I do that in Showdown? Surely you can see the frustration with that.

The cpu does make an absurd amount of ridiculous plays, & yeah the hit results at times seem nerfed. Not to the extent of being the main/only reason people are failing showdown runs. Gameplay could use tweaks / fixes all around .. but if you’re failing runs consistently, that’s a YOU issue. The showdown complaints are grossly over-exaggerated.

Showdown is easy, that's all there is to it, leave stage 1 as is.

They should be the same difficulty imo. If anything, the easier ones should be the first ones.

Well, they should definitely make sure the game and the mode stays tailored to your skill level and completely ignore the number of us, and not a small number, who have never come close to beating those early showdowns.

The early showdowns were on veteran? Granted, I have not tried the initial showdowns in a while but the 1st inning and initial Affinity showdowns felt more difficult.

I have beating the 2nd and 3rd inning and the NL stage 2 affinity showdowns and the earlier showdowns were much harder. Whether that was difficulty or sliders is anyone's guess.

It's fine as it is, they already nerfed it weeks ago. Why not just hand out free TA points to everyone?

If showdown is too difficult for someone, then they have MTO as an option to still gain team affinity points.

MTO is a time consuming mode for sure, but if you’re terrible at showdown, which I am, it’s probably right inline time wise with how long it would take to earn the same amount of affinity points by successfully completing showdowns.

If you’re great at showdown, or even just decent, then showdown absolutely is a quicker way to earn affinity points. But in showdown, you pay an entry fee, you’re playing sudden death moments, and you’re not in control of the difficulty level. So really, showdown just just rewards you for being a better player and, as a terrible player, I’m fine with that.

Making showdown easier just penalizes better players. Having to suffer through the time grind is the punishment for not being great at the game. I wish I was better and could complete showdowns easier too, but I’m not and MTO at least gives me an opportunity to slowly earn the same rewards.

I can definitely agree with you that there is a major difference between vs cpu on all star and showdown on all star. The thing that really burns my [censored], is all the acrobatic catches that would leave a player on the ir. I'm tired of the cpu playing defense like they're superman; look at me, I can fly.

You dont have to beat showdown. There is MTO, exchanges, innings, online innings. You dont have to beat showdown for the inning program either. I finished last inning at 400 without showdown, and I'm still working normally as an essential worker.

Showdown is meant to be challenging. Just because some people cant routinely beat it doesnt mean it must be nerfed.

Every single player for the CPU in Showdown:
    Fielding: 99
    Reaction: 99
