Idea to differentiate hitters (minimise RNG)

SDS

Just want to pitch an idea that just came to me, a way to give the user more control when it came to hitting with different players. It may already be a factor when hitting, I don’t know.

If the PVIS attribute were to impact upon how quickly a user were able to move the PCI after the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand it could theoretically give the user a batting experience in line with the quality of the player batting.

For example, batting with a player of PVIS 90, a user setting up the PCI at the top of the zone could move it to the bottom of the zone around 80% faster than if the batting player had a PVIS of 50. That’s just an example, the actually numbers would need to be tested.

As I said, this may already be a factor. But if not, could it be worthy of consideration? Thoughts?

This is a good idea, however I fear this would ruin cards like Trout. Unless they made all PCIs the same size and implemented this. At the end of the day, if they just toned the RNG down a bit the hitting might be a bit more enjoyable.
