how am i wrong? there was no exploit. you played a mode that gave you 25xp per HR. it's that simple. they reduced the amount per HR. what are you missing here?
Playing a casual mode for the sole purpose of gaining rewards in a completely unrelated different mode is exploiting. It doesn’t matter if it was 25xp per HR in years past. There was no issue with HRD grinding for XP in previous years. None. Blame the losers who had to have the prestige rewards in April instead of getting them over time like you were supposed to. Other people cheating the system and SDS fixing it is not anyones fault but the people that were cheating
If you’re in Showdown up 2-0 in the bottom 3rd against the CPU and still need that extra base hit to pass the level, do you give up 2 runs to keep playing?

I’m still confused about the retro XP. What was going on there? Wasn’t even aware of it. I tried the HR derby thing once but found it boring and never went back. The double MTO points was nice, especially for someone like me who was way behind on affinities. I had two FOTF cards. I got one more season in with double MTO points, the Padres. That’s still all I’ve done. After three MTO runs, I kind of felt bored with the mode. (Though I did hurry up that final Padres run the night before when I heard they were getting rid of the double points). Even with the double points (playing on veteran), I still don’t have the Padres future star.

The key to the retro xp was that you could leave the game on and walk away from it while the cpu continued to walk batter after batter earning you XP.

lol playing a casual mode in the way it was designed by SDS is exploiting?
who are you or SDS to dictate how a game should be played, especially when its being played within the way it was programmed?

Who is SDS? Only the makers of the game. If they want to dictate how the game is played, then that's their right. If you find you can't handle that, there's no one forcing you to continue to play.
When you've got people who prestiged out when they did, then there's a problem. That problem has been resolved.
Problem resolved? Uhh, those people are still prestige lol.
If they wanted to stop people from exploiting the AFK XP farming, simply ban or punish people with 250+ single game run records, pretty simple to see who did it.
