    If zone is literally "unusable" against the cpu, why did I win the only showdown I played today? "Unusable" means under no circumstances should I have been able to, yet I did

    Or, you just need to hit better.

    Zone works perfectly fine vs the cpu, as it always has.

    You do not understand how many perfect perfect or “good okay” fly outs or ground balls I have gotten. My thing is if I get perfect perfect or good good, I should be rewarded, but I should not be rewarded if I get early okay and it’s a no doubt homerun, you tell me how tf that makes sense. There is not “hitting better” when I get next to near perfect pci placement and timing you [censored] idiot.

    Do better and overcome it then my guy

    Really? I did that challenge my first try. Although it did help that I hit two home runs in game 1.

    Maybe cause the dice rolled in your favor and not for him. He said he was getting good hits but the game didn’t give it to him.

    I also did it first try after 2 bombs in 1st game....

    For TC, are you looking for advice on how to use zone effectively vs cpu? Or was the post more to left off frustration.

    You can square up every single pitch and still be at the mercy of the rng hitting. Yes it’s better than directional but it’s far from perfect. Perfect means your getting rewarded with every solid hit. That simply does not happen in this game.

    Wouldn't that mean it's not "unusable" if the dice goes your way though? Unusable means unusable, as in does not work at all. Not "Well it does work sometimes if the game is in your favor"

    Unusable isn't the right word to use.

    Zone is definitely useable but still at the mercy of the rng.

    Ever watched baseball before?

    Should solid contact be rewarded much, much more than bad contact? Absolutely

    Should you get a hit every time you make solid contact? Absolutely not.

    Because sometimes when the ball leaves the bat it can go to directly to a defender. I mean, defense has a job as well

    I know I would. I'm not here to play football scores. There is a difference between rewarding user input and arcade-style play.

    They should really consider making two online modes.

    Arcade - User input is king.
    Simulation - Game replicates real baseball.

    Would be a great way to please the players. Every year it’s the same bickering back and forth about the gameplay.

    Definitely seems like gameplay was tweaked today. I was behind fastballs a lot for the first time since I switch to a monitor. Also good/good has turned into a fly ball to center a lot.

    Even in an actual arcade baseball game like Mario Superstar Baseball, you aren’t guaranteed a hit every time you square it up.

    User input should matter a lot, but it wouldn’t be baseball without 105 mph line drives right at fielders.

    Zone is unusable as of now vs cpu. Currently catching up on POTM missions and I’m on Anderson 17bases. Tried it 6 times all three games with zone. First two games I finish it with directional, it shouldn’t be like that. And I was get (good, okay) with nearly perfect pci placement.

    Glad to know I am not the only one. 500 hours already played this year and I am hitting worse now than I did 2 weeks ago. I just failed 1st boss on Showdown again. I think any time I've beaten a Showdown, I just got lucky. At least with moments you can keep restarting.

    I am done with Showdowns, looks like if I want to get past stage 1 its innings, and man it's a ton of innings.

    Exchanges are awful, 12k for 20 points.

    12K for 20 pts if you don't put in buy orders. It should be around 5K.

    No I put in buy orders it cost just under 6k for 10 points, that was the 1 79, 4 78, 5 77, 5 76.

    79 = 709
    78 = Average 485 x 4 = 1940
    77 = Average 377 x 5 = 1885
    76 = Average 286 x 5 = 1430

    709+1940+1885+1430 = 5964.

    Exchanges only get 10 points. So that is 11.9k for 20 points.

    Those were the prices I paid for Yankees rivals. And those were all buy orders. I assume other teams maybe cheaper, but only 5k vs 5.9k I'd say.

    If you know how to only spend 5k to get 20 points, I'd love to hear it.
