Greg Maddux All-Star card

Contemplating getting the Maddux card but know his VELO is like 55. Has anyone tried him and had success with him? I've never faced him so looking for opinions. Thanks.

He is a good card. Had like a 3.00 ERA over maybe 5 starts? Solid pitching option and cheap.

He’s bp for me, I’d wait on his better card tbh

Maddux shoves for me. Sub 2 ERA. I think if you’re hitting good locations and mix effectively it makes the sinker and 4 seam play much faster.

Depends on how good you are at pitching. Good card but will get destroyed if you arent locating well

That Maddux card is great. If you know how to pitch i.e mix your pitches hit locations then you’ll be successful. However if you don’t know how to pitch i.e thinking you can get away with throwing fastballs up and in the whole game then he is probably going to get shelled a whole lot.

Have you watched rookie of the year? He is the chet Steadman of the show. He isn't great, but he will get the job done
