Why shouldn’t perfect/perfect grounders sometimes result in groundouts?

Sometimes? Try 90% of the time.

Sometimes they should, more realistically, they should missed or be knocked down when it is hit to a fielder with bad fielding attributes. They may still pick it up and get you for the out, but perfects shouldnt always be fielded perfectly unless its a diamond defender.

Lol, you can still hit the ball perfectly with a bat but there is 9 people on the field to stop you from getting on. Just because you smoke a ball hard on the ground doesnt mean you should get a hit. Fielders are there to field the ball. Perfect balls in the game are just ones that have perfect swing and timing. Nothing says that they are always a hit. Line drives are better for hits and for the most part, fly balls are even better but ground balls will result in outs and double plays quite a bit no matter how well you hit it

I want to turn off my hit feedback. I find that it just bugs me and makes me mad the type of stuff I see.

I’m with that 100% but when they say perfect perfect batting average is over .800 before game release and showdown seems like it’s about .200, something is different

You can hit the ball on the screws and have it go right to someone. The ball doesn’t magically avoid fielders just because you hit it as hard as you can.

I’m obviously playing a different game than some of you. Fielders whiff or only knock down ground balls all the time when I play. CPU included.

Hitting is a joke, people stop defending this shitty game. That’s why the won’t fix it, because too many little Billy’s say the games fine. They only patched it because people were getting better xp for certain modes. Get real, if this is what cross platform gets, sds will be laughed at

Sometimes the ball magically takes a hard right turn into a fielder’s glove.

I have no reason to complain now. The feed back is broke, not hitting. Just go off the sound of the bat.

Also I start streaming by games, to get “real time” feedback.

This absolutely has to happen someday, at least make it an option.

And yes OP this showdown is whack. Doesn’t make sense to me for a company to sIt around and work on how they can make a game miserable but here we are.

Unfortunately no. With the game the way it is it will thrive with cross platform. There are alot more bad players than there are good ones. The game with hitting as it is keeps those bad players competitive and playing. Like some people keep saying the game is playing exactly how they want it. With so many new players coming to cross platform next year the game will continue to bring in revenue. Doesn't matter how bad a game is if its still profitable.

I mean you can turn off feedback and completely ignore it but that doesn't change the fact hitting is wildly inconsistent. But if that helps you enjoy the game more power to you.

So your fine with a good okay center pci, or a good good that is a weak fly ball. But the early ok homerun is acceptable. This games is shitty and it’s people like you who make SDS believe they made a great product
