Interleague schedule doesn't change.

In franchise mode, I have selected Colorado Rockies.
Therefore, every season, I play against Whitesox, Indians and the teams that belong to that region. Can't play against other teams like Yankees, Astros forever otherwise I buy a new SHOW.
Of course, the reason is that game makers want to sell the show every year, but the show lovers like me buy it every year.
So, please reflect interleague schedule change. -

I hate to say it, but I think offline franchise is dead. Its sad because it is what the started as and were known for. I hope I'm wrong..

Yeah I would love to see it too, as it adds to the realism. However, the people who arrange schedules in real life take a while constructing schedules, so that would probably make it really hard to code into the game. But hopefully they find a way, SOON!

In real life there are so many things to take into account that don’t need to be considered in the game. In the game all they need to do is allocate a few series that are for playing the other league’s division and then rotate the division year to year. Granted it wouldn’t be quite that simple. The first year probably wouldn’t match the real-life schedules for the that year which would be a bummer. That would be the compromise we would have to accept as users.

True. They would need to find a way to randomize series between the other opponents every year. It seems like they rotate. For instance, in my Phillies rebuild, I faced the Marlins for 4 games to start the season, the next season started with 3 against the Giants, and the following with 2 against the Braves. However, the fourth year resulted as the identical schedule as the first(which I know since I took a photo of the first year). It adds realism. Not to start any beef, but can you state some instances of those "things that need to be take[n] into account" irl, but not in the game?

Just off the top of my head, scheduling conflicts to do with travel time between locations, local events that might affect attendance, costs... could probably come up with a few more (would be interesting to think about) but I’m sure this will suffice.
Actually that would make an interesting topic - what are considerations in real life scheduling they aren’t considerations in the game?

Yeah the travel time makes sense, but as I play my franchise for the Phillies I see West Coast trips like San Diego that have me back in Philly the next day, so maybe its just rare, not impossible. Local events might play a part. But whatever it is, they NEED to find a way to improve the mode. And i'm thinking with all the difficulties with DD this year many people are going to leave the game, and so they might not have another choice...
