Sds and showdown is a joke

Yes, Showdown is controller breaking. I'm finally on a good run. Best AL west after 5 straight fails, working on NL west and only failed 1 mission so far, but I am one away from 2nd boss, if I can get it, it's a gold player, gold perk and 8 runs. That should be enough to move to the end, depending on the player and the perk. I hate gambling on the mid boss, but 6-15 with this team maybe too tall an order.

I’m not doing it ever again. It’s a joke. There’s no way I should have a guy with 70 bunting bunting the ball at a higher MPH rate than how hard the ball comes off the bat on a good good. I’m livid

I don’t mind losing a ranked game against an opponent who played better. But for this bozos to have me get 20 outs and 11 are good good lineouts. 2 diving plays. And a 98mph bunt double play....hard to score 8 runs with 5 legit outs

I honestly feel like when I beat Showdown, it is all luck.

I truly don’t get how people struggle with it so much

Because not everyone has the same skill level. People are complaining about Corbin moments, I beat them all without a restart, on Showdowns, the ones with more pitching moments I do well. When I play the computer or people for that matter I win because my pitching keeps me in the game, unless I face someone with good placement who can hit pitches on the edges. But me, I can hit any pitch unless it is down the middle, not even vs CPU, on any difficulty. So to me hitting on Veteran, AS, HOF, none of that matters unless I get a pitch down the middle. On AS and HOF the computer will throw out of the zone a lot and I can work counts and draw walks. On Veteran once the the CPU stops throwing it down the middle I cant buy a hit. And they are still strikes it throws and not even on the corners. Just a slider that starts like a down the middle FB and breaks away I'm flailing all over the place with my PCI like a spaz, or the change up or split finger. I'm swinging for FB and I get fooled. The CPU will get me like that several times before it makes a mistake. By then I am down to only a few outs. But if I am playing the CPU on AS for a program, I will win it 5-0 or 1-0, or 10-2. But to string together hits on command to neat hitting moments on Showdown, cant do it.
What is most frustrating is that with how much I am playing it, you would think I would be better right now, but honestly I really am no better, I either get lucky or I don't.

" Because not everyone has the same skill level."
But wouldn't that mean it's not luck winning it? If you can be skilled enough to not struggle, that means it takes skill to win no?I haven't lost a showdown in awhile, I think I've only lost one stage 2 showdown since it was released. I make sure to play all the moments and I always go into the final game with at least 9-11 runs.

I complained and got a warning on me account and had been 3 for 3 in showdowns.... since I got a suspension on my account I’ve gone 0 for 2 with the worst luck ever. I’m convinced my RNG was affected.
You get 20 outs. I had 11 good good lineouts. 2 diving plays And a 98mph bunt into a double play.
It’s hard to score 8 runs when in my belief my RNG has been affected. That’s 15 of 20 outs stolen from me
-
yeah same thing happened to me almost last night. ridiculous defensive plays by the CPU. basically the only chance of a run was a HR.
I deleted the game last night lmao. might reinstall before friday though. showdown brought back rage I forgot existed in me. such a frustrating mode man
-
First showdown is miserable. Second one is alright although still has it’s miserable moments.
-
Just skip the long moments play the easy mini bosses you’ll have a stacked team and like5-8 runs. Easy quick TA and XP

Maybe your expectations of winning every time is more the problem than you actually losing a couple of games?

There was also definitely a buff on these second ones the night before last. They ticked up fastball speeds and they made good/good a fly ball out to dead center.
-
It took me a few hours to realize how rigged it is... At first Showdown seems so easy but SDS made it appear that way (ie huge PCI) and then adjusted the Sliders or something to make it insanely difficult. After the first few tries, I thought it was me, somehow not being warmed up or something. Now I get it, and do not think that it is worth my time.

Defense is god like in showdown. It’s incredible how many liners you can hit directly at infielders. I went 0 for 6 on 100+ mph line drives my last attempt at stage 1 and it will probably be my last attempt.
Plus the fact you cannot play RS because it is broken, this game is getting boring quickly.
-
Stage 2 showdowns are stupid easy -- i just skip right to the end 0-15 and beat them.
Stage 1 gives me a lot more trouble.
-
i recently lost showdown cuz evry round i got a new player 3/4 were pitchers
-
They definitely adjusted sliders
-
I haven’t done showdown since I lost to the final boss on back to back tries. It’s been almost three weeks.
