Trying to understand how I have a perfect pitch release with high diamonds and the pitch doesn’t go anywhere near intended. I’d say a perfect pitch hits the spot like 60% of the time. It just feels too random man.

So what’s the point of having that meter if the user input doesn’t mean that much?

The meter worked perfectly every year before this year. Pitching in general is completely broken this year and you just gotta hope that when you get a good release that it goes where you want. It’s unfortunate that there was so much potential gameplay wise the first 2 weeks of launch but now it’s just a battle between who gets better RNG

Pretty much just chuck and pray. Unbelievable that a fastball right over the middle is usually the best pitch in this game. Forget about working corners. The foul balls are still atrocious as well. Just keeping people in at bats until the game decides to bail them out with a "missed" spot

It’s there mostly for Show this year. That’s the name of the game after all.

Doesn't make any sense. Doing everything that is physically possible to yield a good result still doesn't yield a good result most of the time. No one give me the BB/9 argument either, because I've had plenty of perfectly released pitches with Kluber go nowhere near where I wanted them to go. Its sad when hitting, fielding, AND fielding are all f*cked

I have way too many “oh shlt” pitches every game that don’t go where they’re supposed to. I just laugh it off because I know the other guy is going through the same thing.

All you can do is laugh about it, or close the application and go play something else. Pitching is horrible.

    Don’t forget the check swings.

Pitching is one of the reasons why I quit playing online already. Not going to sit there and watch my pitches go over the middle to make it easier for my opponent.

I laugh every time I do not even go even close to going around and they call it a strike for going around.

I agree issue is many of the missions are online only so I try to do online missions with the online or offline missions at same time. Usually get crushed.

Pitching is low key the worst part of the game this year. I say low key because most people are talking about fielding and hitting. But, pitching for me has been the absolute worst. I was always a much better pitcher than hitter in this game but it’s impossible this year. It’s a real bummer and I don’t see them fixing it this year.

Agreed. I was looking at my online pitching stats from last year today. The game is really in a bad place.

Yeah, in years past I never felt out of a game because I could at least keep games close with my pitching. But, this year if I don’t allow a run an inning I consider it a positive.
